On 14 Jun 10 Christopher Smith, age 43, 222 Fifth Street Apt. 2, Beverly, reported he was home from work eating lunch when Calvin C. Dixon, age 23, 504 Center Street, Beverly, barged into his home uninvited. Mr. Smith stated Mr. Dixon demanded that he return money that Mr. Dixon paid him for the purchase of a vehicle. When he informed Mr. Dixon he no longer had the money, Mr. Smith said Mr. Dixon attacked him. After being repeatedly punched while he sat in a chair in his living room, Mr. Smith commented that he fell to the floor and that Mr. Dixon proceeded to kick him in the chest and abdomen. Mr. Dixon then fled after removing all of the cash, which amounted to $42, from Mr. Smith’s wallet. Located at his residence, Mr. Dixon declined to provide a statement pertaining to the incident. Based on his investigation Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Mr. Dixon for aggravated burglary and assault and transported him to the Washington County Jail. A witness stated Mr. Williams consumed alcohol throughout the afternoon and became increasingly belligerent during that time, which ultimately resulted in the dispute taking place.
