On 3 Jun 10 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued a citation to Brian Roberts, age 38, 2050 Roberts Road, Amesville, for driving under a license suspended for having unpaid child support. Deputy Lockhart stopped Mr. Roberts on Roberts Road near Turner Road in Wesley Township.

On 3 Jun 10 Irvin Stokes, age 82, 372 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras, reported at some point during the past twenty-four hours an unknown suspect(s) opened a padlocked lockbox in his home and stole a total of seventeen Fentanyl patches. This case remains under investigation (809).

On 3 Jun 10 Deputy Sheriff Mayle responded to the scene of death of an eighty year old New Matamoras resident. The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 3 Jun 10 Elizabeth S. Best, age 54, 1449 Weppler Road, Lowell, reported she gave a man, woman and a small child a ride home on 29 May after their vehicle became disabled near Marsh Run Hill. Four days later Ms. Best discovered one of her personal checks was forged for $250 and cashed at Citizens Bank in Beverly. Ms. Best stated her purse was in the backseat when she picked up the three individuals and believes that five checks were stolen at the time. This case remains under investigation (1104).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

James F. O’Brien, age 32, 904 Fourth Street, Marietta, for making a false alarm by phoning the Marietta Police Department and threatening to shoot an individual on 28 Feb 10.

Travis N. Ward, age 27, 906 Hocking Road, Belpre, for failing to appear for pretrial on 24 May 10.

Ari Elizabeth Turner, age 22, 3680 State Route 60, Marietta, for failing to appear for a hearing on 28 May 10.

Mariah S. Dunn, age 19, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 3A, New Matamoras, for an assault committed on 28 Mar 10.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Vickie Marie Thompson, age 27, 120 Harmar Street, Marietta, for obstructing official business and for being in possession of an open container of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Thompson was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 10 at 3:00 am.

Michael James Farnsworth, age 21, 276 Ridgewood Court Apt. H, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested in Juvenile Court by Probation Officer Zimmerman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 10 at 10:15 am.

Meriah Shay Dunn, age 19, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 3A, New Matamoras, for assault, a misdemeanor. Dunn was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Mayle and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 10 at 1:45 pm.

Jonathan James Hall, age 22, 194 Davis Road, Waterford, for domestic violence and for violating the terms of his parole, both felonies. Hall was arrested at the Adult Parole Office by Deputy Sheriff Deem and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 10 at 4:15 pm.

Ronald Wayne Gilbert, age 45, 920 Quarry Street, Marietta, for domestic violence and aggravated menacing, both misdemeanors. Gilbert was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jun 10 at 11:56 pm.
