On 1 Jun 10 a thirteen year old Waterford resident reported while she was riding the bus home from school on 28 May a male student threatened to stab her with a pencil. This case remains under investigation (296).

On 1 Jun 10 the vice principal at Warren High School reported sometime over the holiday weekend an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered buildings at the baseball/softball complex. The suspect(s) proceeded to damage items inside and outside buildings at the complex and overturned aluminum bleachers. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 1 Jun 10 Barbara Heeter, age 24, 1515 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford, reported she believes an acquaintance who stayed briefly in her home entered her home without permission that afternoon and retrieved a box fan she left when she moved. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 1 Jun 10 Denise Spradlin, age 37, 315 Spence Road, Belpre, reported she noticed a white gold and diamond necklace was missing from her bedroom around the beginning of March and she has yet to locate it. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 1 Jun 10 James R. Wilcoxen, age 72, 1520 Congress Road, Belpre, reported sometime between noon and 8 pm an unknown suspect(s) attempted to forcibly enter his home. Though the suspect(s) were unable to enter his home, Mr. Wilcoxen stated the suspect(s) stole a tire with an aluminum rim from his property. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 1 Jun 10 Laura J. Huff, age 40, 510C Forshey Road, Marietta, reported her husband was being violent, broke the windshield of his truck and was incessantly yelling at her. Mrs. Huff said none of her husband’s actions caused her to be in fear for safety but she phoned for assistance to help calm down her husband. Unable to find evidence of any crime, Deputy Sheriff Carr closed this case as unfounded.

On 1 Jun 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Larry E. Emerick, age 54, 104 Deerwalk Circle, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Responding to a report of an intoxicated male walking southbound on State Route 60, Deputy Carr located Mr. Emerick stumbling along the roadway. Mr. Emerick stated he was walking to Devola but could not state where he currently was. Transported to the Washington County Jail for his safety, Mr. Emerick tested .127 BAC.

On 1 Jun 10 Danita L. Stegner, age 39, 752 Luke Chute Road, Waterford, reported she was asleep at a male friend’s home when her husband arrived at the residence. Mrs. Stegner stated her husband Edward, age 49, dragged her by the arm to his truck and threatened to kill her as he erratically drove to their residence. Once inside their home, Mrs. Stegner said her husband poured coffee on her and pinched and twisted her nose on three occasions. Based on the investigation of Sgt. Hornbeck and Deputy Sheriffs Deem and Rhodes, Mr. Stegner was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Leslie Scot Klein, age 19, 301 Cisler Lane, Marietta, for domestic violence and for underage consumption of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Klein was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 10 at 1:49 am.

Edward D. Stegner, age 49, 752 Luke Chute Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Stegner was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 10 at 4:49 am.

Ethan Tyler Barnhart, age 19, 100 Winters Drive, Marietta, for failure to signal, failure to appear and for two counts of failure to reinstate his operator’s license, all misdemeanors. Barnhart was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 10 at 9:31 am.

Robert Jay Bradley, age 47, 1240 Two Mile Road, Big Springs, WV, for possession of drug paraphernalia and for resisting arrest, both misdemeanors. Bradley was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 10 at 11:00 am.

Christian Mark McCarty, age 18, 125 Hickory Street, Lower Salem, for a misdemeanor charge of violating the terms of his probation. McCarty was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 10 at 3:30 pm.

Larry Eugene Emerick, age 54, 104 Deerwalk Circle, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Emerick was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Jun 10 at 7:56 pm.
