On 28 May 10 Kassandra Doak, age 27, 4136 Sparling Road, Waterford, reported she believes her ex-boyfriend stole her son’s Nintendo DS when he moved out of her residence in mid-April. Learning Ms. Doak’s ex-boyfriend, Robert M. McKinney, age 22, 868 Schott Road, Waterford, has pawned things in the past, Deputy Sheriff Smeeks contacted the local businesses. A clerk at one of the pawn shops produced a record indicating Mr. McKinney pawned the game system for $30. Questioned about his signature on the pawn ticket, Mr. McKinney initially stated he had permission to sell the item but he later recanted and stated he took the item without Ms. Doak’s permission. As a result, Deputy Smeeks requested a summons for Mr. McKinney for theft. Deputy Smeeks was able to obtain the DS and return it to Ms. Doak.

On 28 May 10 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a citation to Angela J. Wilson, 629 N. Seventh Street, Marietta, for failure to obey a traffic control device. Sgt. Hornbeck stopped Ms. Wilson after she failed to stop at a red light while traveling southbound on State Route 60 at the intersection of Walnut Street in Lowell.

On 28 May 10 Johnathan R. Glidden, age 32, 3701 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, reported he left town for work on 3 May and when he returned he discovered his property amiss. Entering his residence, Mr. Glidden noticed several rooms were ransacked and a forty-seven inch flat panel television, a Playstation 2 and games, numerous DVDs and collectible coins were missing. This case remains under investigation (809).

On 28 May 10 Lt. Stackpole issued a citation to Gena L. Bragg, 194 Chateau Hills, Parkersburg, for driving under an OVI suspended license and for operating a vehicle with a registration that expired in April 2010. Lt. Stackpole stopped Ms. Bragg on Main Street near US 50 in Blennerhassett Township.


On 28 May 2010, a 30 year old female with her domestic advocate reported to the Sheriff’s Office that over the past two years she had been raped repeatedly by Roy D. Greathouse, age 47, 505 Bells Run Road, Newport, Ohio. The female who has a mental capacity of a young teenager stated she had been transported from her home in West Virginia to the 505 Bells Run Road address where she was forced to has sex with Greathouse in an upstairs bedroom. The victim stated this occurred on at least ten occasions with the last being in April 2010.

Greathouse is a registered sex offender with addresses in Ohio and West Virginia. Greathouse has addresses at 19 Corbin Alley, Pullman, WV and a secondary residence at his mother’s residence 505 Bells Run Road, Newport, OH. Greathouse was interviewed and admitted to having sex with the victim on several occasions.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Dustin Ray Riley, age 24, 706 Cisler Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Riley was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 10 at 4:30 am.

Roy Dale Greathouse, age 47, 19 New Corbin Alley, Pullman, WV, for rape, a felony. Greathouse was arrested on Bells Run Road by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 10 at 4:19 pm.

Richard Dean Harper, age 65, 112 Davis Street, Uhrichsville, OH, for breach of recognizance, a misdemeanor. Harper was picked up at the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 10 at 5:00 pm.
