On 23 May 10 an off duty Beverly Police Department officer reported an intoxicated female was attempting to drive home from Par Mar in Beverly. The patrolman stated the suspect, Alison B. Seevers, age 22, 2950 Righteous Ridge Road, Waterford, slurred her speech and knocked over items in the store. Preventing Ms. Seevers from departing in her vehicle, the patrolman observed a bag of marijuana at the feet of Ms. Seevers. When Sgt. Mankins arrived he took possession of the marijuana and was given permission by Ms. Seevers to search her vehicle. In the vehicle, Sgt. Mankins discovered four cigarette lighters that were stolen from the convenience store. The store clerk declined to pursue theft charges after the lighters were returned. However, as a result of Ms. Seevers’ behavior, Sgt. Mankins arrested her for disorderly conduct by intoxication and possession of marijuana and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joshua Mark Whitstine, age 19, 140 Franklin Street, Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Whitstine was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 23 May 10 at 3:17 pm.
