On 21 May 10 Clair A. Huck, age 68, 2548 Bosner Ridge Road, Lowell, reported at 2 pm the previous afternoon he noticed his wallet was missing from his kitchen table. Mr. Huck said he believes the wallet, which contained over $500 and a Farm Plan credit card, was stolen while he was working on his farm outside of his residence. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 21 May 10 Gatha C. Davis, age 68, 2187 State Route 550, Bartlett, reported she believes between 6 am and 7 am that morning that an unknown suspect entered her residence and stole her social security check. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 21 May 10 a sixteen year old Belpre resident reported when he arrived at Warren High School that morning he discovered the corners of his locker in the athletic locker room were bent. The teenager stated the locker was padlocked the previous evening and his iPod was missing. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 21 May 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr issued a citation to David E. Metheney Jr., age 37, 42 Merchant Street, Newport, for failure to control. Mr. Metheney abandoned his truck in the early morning after he struck a ditch on Archers Fork Road approximately two miles from State Route 7 n Independence Township. Mr. Metheney denied being under the influence of alcohol or drugs and stated he was waiting until morning to phone a towing company to retrieve his vehicle. Mr. Metheney was uninjured in the crash that caused minor damage to his Ford F-150.

On 21 May 10 Jennifer I. Bailey, age 36, 2471 Hickman Road, Waterford, reported her live-in boyfriend Jeffrey L. Stover, age 42, accused her of breaking glasses in his shot glass collection and retaliated against her by slapping her across the face. Earlier in the day Ms. Bailey alleged that Mr. Stover told several people that he would shoot her and she stated he does have weapons in their house. Determining the incident caused Ms. Bailey to fear for safety; Lt. Underwood arrested Mr. Stover for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 21 May 10 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes responded to the scene of death of a sixty-four year old Marietta resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 21 May 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested a summons for a seventeen year old Belpre resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. Deputy Anderson requested the summons after responding to a domestic dispute involving the teenager and her father at his Vincent residence. The teenager reportedly called her forty year old father a derogatory name and he responded by striking her in the face and busting her lip. The teenager’s father stated his daughter lies and refuses to abide by house rules and that when he struck her he did not do so to abuse her. However, Deputy Anderson determined the father’s actions qualified as an act of domestic violence. As a result, Deputy Anderson requested a summons for the father for domestic violence.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Bryan David Parrish, age 48, 427 Way Road, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Parrish was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 10 at 9:21 am.

Scott Lee Carpenter, age 47, 413 ½ Third Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Carpenter was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 10 at 9:38 am.

Gennia Marie Carte, age 46, 80 Heeter Road, Newport, for direct contempt, a misdemeanor. Carte was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 10 at 10:50 am.

Brittany Paulette Darling, age 20, 830 Third Street, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Darling was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 10 at 1:17 pm.

Brent Wesley Bailey, age 25, 708 Clement Avenue, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Bailey was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 10 at 4:20 pm.

Pamela Yvette Ball, age 47, 205 ½ Montgomery Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Ball was arrested at her residence by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 21 May 10 at 8:30 pm.

Jeffrey Lee Stover, age 42, 2471 Hickman Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Stover was arrested at his residence by Lt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 10 at 9:55 pm.
