On 20 May 10 Betty Dunn, age 61, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 1F, New Matamoras, reported she left her apartment unlocked while she made a trip to her granddaughter’s nearby apartment and when she returned a short time later she noticed an Xbox 360, five games and two controllers were missing from her living room. This case remains under investigation (809).

On 20 May 10 an employee of Aqua Jet, 105 River Lane, Marietta, reported when he arrived at work that morning he noticed three large pieces of steel were missing from a scrap pile outside the business. The large circular piece and two L-shaped pieces weigh a total of approximately 250 pounds. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 20 May 10 an employee of Broad Street Services, 1823 State Route 550, Bartlett, reported sometime between 6 pm on 14 May and 8 am on 17 May an unknown suspect(s) entered the business and stole four new semi truck batteries. The employee stated the suspect(s) also removed six batteries from semi trucks and two batteries from pickup trucks parked in the business’ lot. The estimated cost to replace the batteries is $1,443. This case remains under investigation (707).

On 20 May 10 Glenda Russell, age 40, 440 Bear Creek Road, Lowell, reported her live-in boyfriend David A. Rummer, age 46, assaulted her during a dispute over their relationship. After Ms. Russell informed her boyfriend she was moving out she stated Mr. Rummer threatened to kill her if she was not out of the house in thirty minutes. Mr. Rummer then began throwing Ms. Russell’s belongings out the door and Ms. Russell attempted to stop him from doing so. In retaliation, Mr. Rummer shoved Ms. Russell to the ground, grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the side. Mr. Rummer fled but was later located at a relative’s residence on State Route 60. At the residence Deputy Sheriff McLeish arrested Mr. Rummer for domestic violence and from there transported him to the Washington County Jail.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Tejai Conner, age 19, 1175 Michaelis Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by obtaining a new charge of theft on 14 May 10.

Joseph A. Sunderman, age 33, 808 Dewey Avenue, Saint Marys, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of completing forty hours of community service.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Douglas Jay Seals, age 29, PO Box 232, Malta, for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors. Seals was picked up in Nelsonville by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 May 10 at 12:27 pm.

Lewis Matthew Evans, age 24, Route 1 Box 224 Whiskey Run Road, Saint Marys, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Evans turned himself in to Lt. Stackpole at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 May 10 at 12:41 pm.

David Allen Rummer, age 46, 440 Bear Creek Road, Lowell, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Rummer was arrested on State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 May 10 at 7:20 pm.
