On 13 May 10 a clerk at Marathon, 15 Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking, reported the driver of a small vehicle with grey colored primer on it drove away from the station without paying for $32 in gasoline. This case remains under investigation (296).

On 13 May 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for a fifteen year old Lowell resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The teenager’s mother reported her daughter refused to get up and get ready for school and used offensive language while dismissing her requests.

On 13 May 10 Denise Murphy, age 39, 7465 Stanleyville Road, Whipple, reported being assaulted by her husband Melvin, age 39, during an argument over household finances. Mrs. Murphy stated her husband shoved her into a wall and then grabbed her by the arms and slammed her to the floor. Though Mr. Murphy claimed he gently took his wife to the floor because she interrupted him packing belongings, a witness corroborated Mrs. Murphy’s comment that Mr. Murphy violently knocked her to the floor. As a result, Lt. Underwood arrested Mr. Murphy for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 13 May 10 the New Matamoras Fire Department transported Zachary A. Huntsman, age 19, 687 Long Run Road, Newport, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to injuries suffered in an ATV accident. Mr. Huntsman sustained minor injuries to his left ankle and the left side of his face when a tire on his ATV suddenly deflated and caused the vehicle to roll into a ditch (1184).

On 13 May 10 Laura J. Conner, age 43, 1175 Michaelis Road, Marietta, reported she suspects her son used her Citizens Bank debit card last weekend without her permission. Meeting with bank officials, Ms. Conner and Deputy Sheriff Rhodes viewed ATM surveillance footage and Ms. Conner identified the subject using her debit card as her son Tejai, age 19. Later interviewed, Mr. Conner admitted taking his mother’s debit card without permission and using it to withdraw $60 from an ATM. In consequence, Deputy Rhodes arrested Mr. Conner for theft and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Joshua Daniel Campbell, age 25, 840 Echo Valley Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, aggravated menacing and obstructing official business, all misdemeanors. Campbell was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 10 at 4:39 am.

Tejai Edvin Conner, age 19, 1175 Michaelis Road, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Conner was arrested at Warren High School by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 10 at 3:52 pm.

Alea Marie Thompson, age 30, 554 Sand Ridge Road, Waterford, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested on Michaelis Road by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 10 at 4:20 pm.

Amy Lynn Davis, age 35, 145 Greenbrier Circle, Marietta, for felony charges of possession of drugs and tampering with evidence and for a misdemeanor charge of driving under a suspended license. Davis was arrested on State Route 7 near State Route 555 by Detective Smithberger of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 10 at 4:28 pm.

Melvin Arthur Murphy, age 39, 7465 Stanleyville Road, Whipple, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Murphy was arrested at his residence by Lt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 10 at 9:11 pm.

Janet Lynn Brown, age 36, 349 Blaze Run Road, Walker, WV, for theft, a misdemeanor. Brown was turned in by a bail bondsman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 May 10 at 10:58 pm.
