On 11 May 10 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider requested a summons for a thirteen year old Belpre resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The juvenile was involved in an argument with his grandfather over which grandparent would drive him to school. Acquiescing to the teenager’s demand, the juvenile’s grandmother agreed to drive her grandson to school but said he jumped out of the vehicle when she stopped at a stop sign and ran away.

On 11 May 10 Melissa Griffith, age 24, Route 4 Box 318, Hurricane, WV, reported she was asleep at 1234 Beebe Road, Waterford, when she awoke to the sounds of her son crying and loud pounding on a downstairs window. Walking down the stairs, Ms. Griffith observed Joshua D. Campbell, age 25, 32 Anderson Lane, Waterford, standing outside the window. Ms. Griffith said Mr. Campbell was striking the window with a black handgun and shouted threatening comments, including “I will kill everyone in the home until Rachael comes out!” Mr. Campbell was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife Rachael after leaving that location the previous day and apparently believed his wife was seeking refuge at the residence. Mr. Campbell fled when Ms. Griffith stated she was phoning for help and could not be located thereafter. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Caltrider requested a warrant for Mr. Campbell for aggravated menacing.

On 11 May 10 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks responded to the scene of death of an eighty-two year old Vincent resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.
