On 7 May 10 Tricia A. Walker, age 25, 1012 Third Street, Marietta, reported following a custody hearing at the courthouse the father of her five year old daughter threatened her. Ms. Walker stated she was standing in the hallway after a magistrate ruled in her favor on a dispute over visitation when John L. Vandale, age 38, 112 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, angrily stomped toward her. As she turned to look in Mr. Vandale’s direction, Ms. Walker said he exclaimed that he was going to blow her head off. Ms. Walker commented that it appeared as if Mr. Vandale was going to strike or hurt her and that family members had to forcibly restrain him and usher him away. Determining Ms. Walker was in fear for her safety, Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested a warrant for Mr. Vandale for domestic violence. Mr. Vandale was arrested on the warrant on 9 May and transported to the Washington County Jail.
