Archive of 05-05-10

On 5 May 10 Sgt. Mankins requested summonses for Devon Blair, age 37, 40 Hazelwood Road, Marietta; Amy Blair, age 22, 75 Hazelwood Road; and Angela Dotson, age 25, 57 Hazelwood Road, for disorderly conduct. During a minor altercation on Hazelwood Road on 15 Apr 10 Amy Blair and Angela Dotson were shoving each other and pulling each other’s hair. Present during the fray, Devon Blair antagonized Ms. Dotson by shouting obscenities. A witness to the dispute reported the fighting and yelling was so loud that she could hear it inside her residence.

On 5 May 10 Heather Parish, age 38, 427 Way Road, Belpre, reported she recently kicked a relative out of her home and she believes the relative entered her home while she was at work that day and stole her Compaq laptop computer. This case remains under investigation (707).

On 5 May 10 an administrator at the Washington County Career Center, 21740 State Route 676, Marietta, reported a teacher caught a seventeen year old student after he stole wallets, cash and other items from purses in a classroom that was empty while students were on a nature hike. Most of the cash and property was recovered from the suspect but some items could not be accounted for. Deputy Sheriff Caltrider anticipates filing charges against the suspect in the near future.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Yvonne Marie Brandt, age 25, 304 Maple Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Brandt was arrested on the 200 block of Greene Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 May 10 at 1:31 am.

Joshua Leroy Gore, age 22, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, for theft, a misdemeanor. Gore turned himself in to Patrolman Hively at the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 May 10 at 9:50 am.

James Douglas Reed, age 34, 3 Briarcliff Drive Apt. H, Cambridge, a fugitive from justice, a felony. Reed was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 May 10 at 11:45 am.

Coree Gene Johnson, age 18, 4746 Federal Road, Coolville, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 May 10 at 1:50 pm.
