On 1 May 10 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider was dispatched
to an altercation involving an injury at 451 Rummer Road, Marietta.
Witnesses at the scene reported John Beehler, age 23, 200 Pennock
Drive Lot 61, Beverly, was visiting a friend in the area and
the two were carrying on, yelling and chasing each other. Not
knowing the two parties were joking, a neighbor attempted to
intervene and reached out to grab Mr. Beehler as he ran past
him. The neighbor’s actions caused Mr. Beehler to lose
his footing and he fell to the pavement, striking his head and
shoulder. Though the injury appears to be due to the neighbor’s
unintentional actions, this case remains open pending an interview
with Mr. Beehler. Mr. Beehler was transported to Marietta Memorial
Hospital for treatment; his current status is unknown.
