On 25 Apr 10 Marty B. Ginther, age 47, 113 Elm Street, Belpre, reported at some point during the past three days an unknown suspect entered a barn he uses on his sister’s property at 540 Pit Road, Waterford, and stole an angle grinder, ratchets, pry bars, a torque wrench and a socket. This case remains under investigation (200).

On 25 Apr 10 the Little Muskingum Fire Department transported Jack L. Hilton, age 41, 17977 State Route 26, Reno, to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment to injuries sustained in an ATV crash on 22 Apr. Mr. Hilton stated he was attempting to climb a hill on the property adjacent to his when the ATV began to roll backwards. Mr. Hilton said he tried to jump off the ATV and struck a tree when he fell. After three days Mr. Hilton commented the pain in his chest and shoulder became too severe so he decided to seek treatment. Emergency room personnel believe Mr. Hilton escaped serious injury and only suffered internal bruising (610).

On 25 Apr 10 Chris Rusher, age 46, 6540 Federal Road, Cutler, reported sometime between 6 pm on 20 Apr and 11 am on 23 Apr a Husqvarna riding lawn mower was stolen from an open storage building on property he owns at 6713 Federal Road. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 25 Apr 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for Samantha M. Marsee, age 18, 117 Buells Circle, Marietta, for obstructing official business. Ms. Marsee filed a report on 14 Apr 10 stating she was sexually assaulted in her home and later recanted her statement, saying she fabricated the story to cover up an encounter she had with a male she met on the internet.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michelle Nichole Reynolds, age 29, 381 Buck Ridge Road Apt. 7, Bidwell, OH, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Reynolds was arrested near milepost three on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Apr 10 at 5:35 am.

Shawnda Charmell Cordell, age 30, 167 Graham Street, Bidwell, OH, for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, both misdemeanors. Cordell was arrested near milepost eight on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Apr 10 at 5:38 am.

Neal Daniel Groves, age 43, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 4A, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Groves was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Apr 10 at 10:22 am.
