On 19 Apr 10 James R. Ritchey, age 46, 115 Forshey Road, Marietta, reported sometime over the weekend an unknown suspect(s) pried open the door to his garage office and stole his recently filled weight loss medication and over $1,000 he kept as petty cash. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 19 Apr 10 Orville J. Perine, age 66, 1335 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, reported five fishing rods and reels, including two used for deep sea fishing, were stolen from his storage unit at 103 Deerwalk Circle, Marietta. Further investigation by the owner of the storage units revealed the unit next to Mr. Perine’s was also entered but no property was stolen. The owner reported unknown suspect(s) also cut the locks off three units at a storage facility on the north side of Marsh Run Hill. Deputy Sheriff Simmons is contacting the renters of those units to determine if any property is missing. This case remains under investigation.

On 19 Apr 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson issued a citation to Christina R. Shingleton, age 29, 1137 Stadium Drive Apt. 2, Parkersburg, for passing a school bus while its stop lights were activated. A school bus driver reported Ms. Shingleton did not stop while Head Start students were exiting her bus on Beach Drive near Blennerhassett Avenue in Belpre.

On 19 Apr 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested summonses for Robert C. Beall, age 64, Blennerhassett Avenue Lot 24, and Steven H. Sturm, age 57, 340 Nutter Avenue, Belpre, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Mr. Sturm and Mr. Beall were involved in a minor fracas near Mr. Sturm’s residence on 14 Apr 10 and had to be separated by bystanders.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Charles Lewis Sexton Sr., age 47, 1209 Cisler Drive Apt. D, Marietta, for felony charges of kidnapping and violating the terms of a protection order and for a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Sexton was arrested at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 10 at 12:18 pm.

Kenneth Allen Newbanks, age 31, 906 Lakeview Drive, Parkersburg, for four felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Newbanks turned himself in to Corrections Officer Brockmeier and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 10 at 1:29 pm.

Paul Thomas Willey Jr., age 27, 723 Eighth Street, Cambridge, for failure to appear and for breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors. Willey was picked up at the Zanesville Police Department by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 10 at 4:25 pm.

Erick Martin Moncrief, age 30, 49 Eagle Lane, Parkersburg, for robbery, a felony. Moncrief was picked up in Parkersburg by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Apr 10 at 4:31 pm.
