On 16 Apr 10 an employee of Marathon, 3876
State Route 339, Belpre, reported on two successive days beginning
on 12 Apr a female driving a silver vehicle drove off without
paying for a total of $42.99 in gasoline. Seeing the suspect
at the station a third time, the clerk confronted her and identified
her as Tina M. Sims, age 45, 11870 Veto Road, Belpre. Asked
about her previous drive-offs, Ms. Sims stated she needed the
gas but did not have the money to pay for it. Later interviewed
by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart, Ms. Sims said she intended to pay
the money for the gas but did not provide any sort of timeframe
for doing so. Consequently, Deputy Lockhart requested a summons
for Ms. Sims for theft.
On 16 Apr 10 a forty year old Beverly resident
reported she has been having problems with her son for the past
few months and as of 7 pm he had yet to return home from school.
Deputy Sheriff Caltrider located the teenager at his grandmother’s
residence and returned him home. Even though the teenager’s
mother declined to pursue charges in the matter, Deputy Caltrider
informed the juvenile he could face charges in the future.
On 16 Apr 10 the assistant principal at Fort
Frye High School reported the mother of a ten year old student
informed her that her daughter was assaulted by a thirteen year
old female on the bus the previous afternoon. The girl’s
assailant reportedly spit in the victims face, bit her finger
and attempted to have a five year old male touch the girl inappropriately.
This case remains under investigation (1104).
The following individual
was processed into the Washington County Jail:
Albert Alan Campbell, age 29, 8629 Circle Drive
Apt. A, Stewart, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear.
Campbell was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the
Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 16 Apr 10 at 9:20 pm.
