Archive of 04-15-10

On 15 Apr 10 Chad Barth, age 41, 3370 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, reported he is the caretaker for his aunt’s farm which is located at the end of Winters Road in Wesley Township and that there is a large illegal dumpsite along the roadway. At the site Deputy Sheriff Rhodes observed numerous trash bags, radios, tires, televisions and a variety of rubbish. Deputy Rhodes obtained several identifiable pieces of trash and is attempting to locate the owners. This case remains under investigation.

On 15 Apr 10 Major Coppernoll, Lt. Underwood and Sgt. Mankins responded to a report of an altercation involving several females in the vicinity of 45 Hazelwood Road, Marietta. The factions had already separated when the Deputies arrived and it did not appear any of the participants suffered serious injury. This case remains under investigation.

On 15 Apr 10 Joshua Campbell, 25, 32 Anderson Lane, Waterford, reported he was struck in the eye by his wife and that he was in a lot of pain. Responding to the scene, Lt. Underwood was unable to locate Mr. Campbell but later made contact after the Beverly Police Department stopped Mr. Campbell in his vehicle. Questioned about the incident and his lack of any visible injury, Mr. Campbell stated he was not assaulted and commented that he was mad at his wife because she never does anything around the house. Lt. Underwood anticipates filing charges against Mr. Campbell at a later date.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Frederick G. McKitrick, age 28, 740 Greene Street, Newport, for failing to appear for a hearing in Juvenile Court on 29 Mar 10.

James O’Brien II, age 32, 904 Fourth Street, Marietta, for failing to appear for arraignment in Juvenile Court on a child endangerment charge on 8 Apr 10.

Albert A. Campbell, age 29, PO Box 962, Grantsville, WV, for failing to appear for pretrial on 9 Apr 10.

Joshua L. Gore, age 22, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, for the theft of a mobile phone charger from Par Mar in New Matamoras on 16 Mar 10.

Ronnie E. Kern, age 46, 205 Elm Street, Belpre, for failing to appear to serve fifteen days in jail on 5 Apr 10.

Brandon P. Layman, age 28, 112 Holly Street, Marietta, for failing to appear for pretrial on 12 Apr 10.

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Clayton Boley, age 23, 513 Riverside Drive, Saint Marys, for resisting arrest and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Boley was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Apr 10 at 1:20 am.
