On 12 Apr 10 the mother of a thirteen year old Barlow-Vincent Elementary School student reported her son was outside for gym class earlier in the day when a student rubbed dirt and grass in his face. The teenager’s mother stated her son has been assaulted several times at school and she does not feel school officials are responding appropriately to the incidents. This case remains under investigation (707).

On 12 Apr 10 Deputy Sheriff Reeder issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Michael J. Hill, age 36, 1533 Scotts Ridge Road, Whipple, for disorderly conduct. That evening Mr. Hill rode his ATV onto a neighbor’s property to confront the homeowner over her teenage son’s supposed poor behavior. Seeing the encounter, the juvenile’s mother confronted Mr. Hill. Insults were exchanged between the two but witnesses provided contradictory statements when asked if either party physically assaulted the other. Due to the presence of conflicting statements and the lack of physical evidence, Deputy Reeder cited Mr. Hill because he initiated the incident by entering his neighbor’s property.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Daniel E. Hendrickson II, age 23, 740 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta, for absconding without paying for a $40 cab fare on 27 Mar 10.
