On 11 Apr 10 Sgt. Mankins arrested Tiffany
K. Martin, age 29, 360 Coffman Road, Marietta, for disorderly
conduct by intoxication. Slurring her speech and unsteady on
her feet, Ms. Martin was being disruptive and refused to leave
her girlfriend’s residence on State Route 550 in Marietta.
Ms. Martin agreed to leave the residence on the condition that
she not leave her mother’s residence at the end of the
driveway. A short while later Sgt. Mankins observed Ms. Martin
staggering along State Route 550 and arrested her for her safety.
When transported to the Washington County Jail Ms. Martin tested
On 11 Apr 10 Crystal Bates, age 31, 3065 Dixon
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported her live-in boyfriend Anthony Workman,
age 32, assaulted her during a twelve hour drinking binge and
damaged their home before fleeing in her vehicle. Ms. Bates
said an argument erupted over their relationship and after she
refused to give Mr. Workman permission to take her truck, he
choked her with an extension cord. Struggling to get free, Ms.
Bates stated she was unable to phone for help because Mr. Workman
ripped the base of the cordless phone from the wall. Mr. Workman’s
attacks continued as Ms. Bates attempted to phone for help from
her mobile phone, with Mr. Workman shoving her against the wall
and throwing several items around the home. As the two later
struggled near front door, Mr. Workman slammed the door on Ms.
Bates’ left hand. Mr. Workman fled the residence after
gathering his beer and cigarettes and fled in Ms. Bates’
truck. Mr. Workman was later arrested after returning to his
residence and arrested for disrupting public service, domestic
violence and failing to reinstate his operator’s license
and transported to the Washington County Jail (790, 905).
On 11 Apr 10 Amanda L. Dietrich, age 22, 1512
W. Royalton Road Apt. 6, Broadview Heights, OH, reported she
was asleep on the couch at the residence of David Fankhauser,
age 23, at 85 Brooker Road, Marietta, when she awoke to find
Mr. Fankhauser throwing her mobile phone and yelling at her.
The father of Ms. Dietrich’s four month old child, Mr.
Fankhauser was distraught that he found Ms. Dietrich had called
her ex-husband earlier in the day. Ms. Dietrich left Mr. Fankhauser’s
residence as he requested and she stopped a short distance away
to shut a partially closed car door she heard what sounded like
four gunshots. Ms. Dietrich commented that she feared she would
be shot if she remained so she fled the area. When interviewed,
Mr. Fankhauser stated he was angry after the incident with Ms.
Dietrich and stated that he fired his shotgun twice out the
rear door of his residence. Consequently, Sgt., Hornbeck arrested
Mr. Fankhauser for domestic violence and transported him to
the Washington County Jail.

David Michael Fankhauser, age 23, 85 Brooker
Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Fankhauser
was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Hornbeck of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Apr 10 at 7:18 am.
Anthony Shane Workman, age 32, 3065 Dixon Ridge
Road, Lowell, for a felony charge of disrupting public service
and for misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and failure
to reinstate his operator’s license. Workman was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr 10 at 10:25 am.
Tiffany Kay Martin, age 29, 360 Coffman Road,
Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Martin was arrested on State Route 550 by Sgt. Mankins of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr 10 at 11:20 am.
William Howard Brannan, age 24, 240 Hillcrest
Drive Apt. 63, Marietta, for gross sexual imposition, a felony.
Brannan was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Warden of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Apr 10 at 4:15 pm.
Shannon Childers Kidder, age 36, 2105 Pride
Avenue, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Kidder turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Carr
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Apr
10 at 6:08 pm.
