On 3 Apr 10 the Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Department transported a thirty-four year old Marietta resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment for a possible overdose on the prescription medication Flexeril. The victim was admitted for observation but should fully recover (208).

On 3 Apr 10 Sgt. Norman requested a summons for Amanda Johnson, age 21, 302 Market Street, Lowell, for child endangering. Four days earlier Sgt. Norman investigated a report of an unattended two year old roaming the streets near Lowell Elementary School. When Sgt. Norman located Ms. Johnson she was asleep in her home and the toddler had been wandering around for well over an hour.

On 3 Apr 10 a witness reported discovering a ten speed bicycle on his property near the intersection of Gilman Avenue and Waterford Road. The bicycle is a blue/purple Roadmaster and appears to be in fair condition. This case remains open pending the location of the bike’s owner (1104).

On 3 Apr 10 Corrections Officer Brockmeier filed charges against Washington County Jail inmate Christopher R. Karcher, age 30, 243 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for assault. Upset because he heard Trent Chapin, age 18, 106 King Avenue, Marietta, called him a derogatory name, Mr. Karcher confronted Mr. Chapin in a restroom. Though Mr. Chapin denied making a comment directed at him, Mr. Karcher punched Mr. Chapin and them slapped him across the face.

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Johnathan Elwood Porter, age 31, 80905 Davis Street, Tippecanoe, OH, for contempt of a court order. Porter was arrested on Milner Road in Waterford by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Apr 10 at 9:35 am.
