On 1 Apr 10 Thomas M. Resnick Jr., age 36, 1279 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, reported sometime between 21 Mar and 1 Apr an unknown suspect(s) pried open a door to his hunting cabin on Pryor Glass Road in New Matamoras and stole an air rifle, a bow, two air mattresses, two plastic containers, a kerosene heater, a lantern and a chainsaw. The estimated value of the stolen items is $350. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 1 Apr 10 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff McLeish began an investigation into what appears to be a robbery that occurred near 302 Fourth Street, Lowell, the previous evening. Family members of the victim, Gary Henniger, age 53, 183 Main Street, Lowell, departed 302 Fourth Street around 11 pm after winning between $75 and $100 in quarters playing poker. When a family member later noticed Mr. Henniger was not at home he began to search for him and found him unconscious and bleeding from a head wound. Evaluation by emergency room personnel revealed Mr. Henniger was struck in the back of the head with a blunt object and had swelling to his brain. Along with a family member, Sgt. Underwood searched Mr. Henniger’s residence and could not locate a plastic butter tub that Mr. Henniger was using to transport his winnings. The Sheriff’s Office requests any citizen with information relating to this crime to call (740) 376-7070.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Janet Lynn Brown, age 36, 349 Blaze Run Road, Walker, WV, for theft, a misdemeanor. Brown was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Wright of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 10 at 12:44 am.

David Allen Sayres, age 45, 413 Eighth Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct by intoxication and for breach of recognizance, all misdemeanors. Sayres was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mayle and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Mar 10 at 9:20 pm. Sayres turned himself in to Patrolman Wright at the Marietta City Police Department and was processed into the Washington County April on 1 Apr 10 at 1:25 am.

Holly Ann Stevens, age 40, 201 Luck Avenue Apt. A, Zanesville, for four felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Stevens was picked up at the Zanesville Municipal Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 10 at 4:03 pm.

Michael Travier, age 32, 633 Martin Luther King Boulevard Apt. 204, Detroit, MI, for having a weapon while under disability, a felony. Travier was arrested near milepost one on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 10 at 4:32 pm.

Akos Zsolt Csete, age 33, 107 Country Meadow Drive, Marietta, for failure to register a vehicle, a misdemeanor Csete was arrested on Glendale Road by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Apr 10 at 7:28 pm.
