On 27 Mar Sgt. Underwood arrested Gregory A.
Hart, age 19, 442 Washington Street, Macksburg, for burglary
and theft. Investigating another case, Detective Parks learned
Mr. Hart sold an individual a Winchester 30/30 rifle. When questioned
about the rifle, Mr. Hart admitted he entered his sister’s
residence at 388 Main Street, Macksburg, the previous day and
took the weapon without permission. Following the confession
Sgt. Underwood transported Mr. Hart to the Washington County
Jail.
On 27 Mar 10 Daniel L. Petro, age 30, 4044
W. 157th Street, Cleveland, was admitted into Marietta Memorial
Hospital for treatment to a gunshot wound to his lower left
leg. At a hunting cabin at 239 Long Run Road, Marietta, to acclimate
his hunting dogs to the sound of gunshots, Mr. Petro said he
placed a .38 caliber handgun atop a wooden railing after loading
it. The weapon then fell from the railing and discharged when
it struck the wooden deck. Investigating the incident, Deputy
Sheriff Rhodes could find no evidence indicating that the cause
of Mr. Petro’s wound was anything other than accidental.
Mr. Petro is expected to fully recover.
On 27 Mar 10 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff
Anderson responded to a domestic violence call at 330 Warren
Chapel Road, Marietta. When they arrived, Deputy Anderson noticed
Robert Ryan, age 38, was consuming beer and detected a strong
odor of alcohol about Mr. Ryan. Mr. Ryan was defiant and angry
about the Deputies presence on his property so Deputy Anderson
handcuffed him for his safety. Mr. Ryan’s family members
informed the Deputies that Mr. Ryan was heavily intoxicated,
began calling his wife names and was giving her a hard time.
Fed up with his father’s antics, Mr. Ryan’s seventeen
year old son began to defend his mother. As another family stood
between Mr. Ryan and his son in an attempt to avoid a confrontation,
R. Ryan reached around the family member and slapped his son
in the face. Based on the statements of witnesses, Deputy Anderson
arrested Mr. Ryan for domestic violence and transported him
to the Washington County Jail.
On 27 Mar 10 Darla Blind, age 39, 110 Pugh
Road, Stockport, reported her father pinned her between a gate
and a fence after a disagreement they had over sheep in her
father’s barn. Ms. Blind stated her husband punched her
father in retaliation and she was released uninjured. Neither
Mrs. Blind nor her father desired to pursue charges against
the other in the matter (608).
On 27 Mar 10 Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested
a summons for a sixteen year old New Matamoras resident to appear
in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The teenager’s father
reported that evening that his son attempted to leave home without
permission and also that he refuses to obey household rules.
On 27 Mar 10 a driver for Ohio Valley Cab Company,
311 Lancaster Street, Marietta, reported he picked up a fare
at the Locker Room and dropped him off along Cole-Coffman Road.
Arriving at the destination, the driver’s fare, later
identified as Daniel F. Hendrickson II, age 23, 740 Cole-Coffman
Road, Marietta, stated he would retrieve money from his home
to pay for his ride. The cab driver said he waited fifteen minutes
and Mr. Hendrickson never returned. Identifying Hendrickson
by the license plate number of the vehicle he left at the bar,
Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested a summons for Mr. Hendrickson
for theft.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Angelo Antonio Vance, age 48, Upper Archers
Fork Road, New Matamoras, for failure to reinstate his operator’s
license, a misdemeanor. Vance was arrested on State Route 7
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Carr and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 10 at 12:32 am.
Gregory Allen Hart, age 19, 442 Washington
Street, Macksburg, for burglary and theft, both felonies. Hart
was arrested in Macksburg by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Mar 10 at 1:16 am.
Trent Dwight Mason, age 21, 432 Douglas Avenue,
Marietta, for possession of drugs, a felony. Mason was arrested
at 312 Harmar Street by Detective Huffman of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 27 Mar 10 at 1:29 am.
Robert Randall Ryan, age 38, 3300 Warren Chapel
Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Ryan was
arrested at his residence by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Mar 10 at 8:21 pm.
Steven Brandon White, age 19, 376 Eleventh
Street, McConnelsville, for driving under a suspended license,
speeding and for operating a vehicle with expired plates, all
misdemeanors. White was arrested on State Route 60 by Patrolman
Perry of the Lowell Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 10 at 8:51 pm.
Edward Albert Minke, age 42, 3790 Bells Run
Road, Newport, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor.
Minke was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff McLeish
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Mar 10 at
11:30 pm.
