On 18 Mar 10 Christi L. Lopez, age 37, 150
Camelot Road Lot 14, Belpre, reported after midnight she investigated
suspicious noises outside her home and discovered racial slurs
scrawled on her van. Ms. Lopez stated the slurs were written
in marker and also carved into the bumper of her vehicle. This
case remains under investigation (610).
On 18 Mar 10 Sgt. Hornbeck arrested Frederick
G. McKitrick, age 27, 740 Greene Street, Newport, for theft.
A clerk at B&J Carryout identified McKitrick as a suspect
who walked out of the store the previous evening without paying
for a twelve pack of beer and ten packs of cigarettes. McKitrick
revealed the location of the unopened stolen goods, which Sgt.
Hornbeck recovered and returned to the convenience store.
On 18 Mar 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested
summonses for Angela M. Saffell, age 42, 8797 Waterford Road,
Waterford, and for Timothy P. Amrine, age 27, 105 State Route
555 Apt. 1, Little Hocking, for disorderly conduct by fighting.
The two were involved in a minor scuffle on 14 Mar when Mr.
Amrine was exchanging custody of his daughter with his estranged
wife, who is Ms. Saffell’s sister. Witnesses to the incident
provided conflicting statements, leaving Deputy Anderson unable
to identify the primary aggressor.
On 18 Mar 10 Scott E. Christman, age 40, 15374
State Route 555, Cutler, reported when he returned home after
working out of town for a month his neighbor informed him that
he believed his home was burglarized by four unknown males.
Examining his home, Mr. Christman noticed a door appeared to
have been kicked in and that a forty-six inch flat screen television
was missing. Mr. Christman described the suspects’ vehicle
as a newer model, possible a Mercury, light blue in color with
dents in the passenger side. This case remains under investigation
(200).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Edward A. Minke, age 42, Bells Run Road, Newport,
for violating the terms of his probation by being charged with
trafficking in drugs.
Keith A. Nibert, age 48, 521 Polecat Road,
Gallipolis, for failing to appear for a hearing on 9 Mar 10.
Brenda S. Vance, age 40, Route 2 Box 21, Sandyville, WV, for
violating the terms of her probation by being charged with
OVI and driving under an FRA suspended license.
Donald J. Wilson, age 23, 4001 Tenth Avenue, Parkersburg,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to appear
for a fine hearing on 17 Feb 10.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Robert Samual Gibson Jr., age 40, 111 Keith Street, Parkersburg,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Gibson turned himself
in to Corrections Officer Brockmeier and was processed into
the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 10 at 12:09 am.
Ricky Willis, age 48, 2782 119th Street, Cleveland, for a
felony charge of possession of drugs and for misdemeanor charges
of OVI, driving under a suspended license, possession of drugs
and possession of drug paraphernalia. Willis was arrested on
Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 10 at 1:48 am.
Frederick Gale McKitrick, age 27, 740 Greene
Street, Newport, for theft and for contempt of a court order,
both misdemeanors. McKitrick was arrested at his residence
by Sgt. Hornbeck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar
10 at 11:17 am.
Ryan Andrew Davis, age 27, 845 County House Lane, Marietta,
for assault, voyeurism and criminal trespassing, all misdemeanors.
Davis was arrested at his residence by Detective Parks of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 18 Mar 10 at 6:45 pm.
