On 17 Mar 10 Sgt. Hornbeck issued a minor
misdemeanor citation to Frederick A. Huck, age 54, 10 Kern
Drive, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. During an argument
with his wife over their pending divorce and custody of their
son, Mr. Huck flew into a fit of rage. Mr. Huck yelled obscenities,
degraded his wife, kicked furniture and spilled Pepsi when
he smashed the soft drink can.
On 17 Mar 10 David L. Burt, age 47, 430 Spears
Hill Road, Stockport, reported he was in the process of cutting
timber on his property and discovered six bags of trash. This
case remains under investigation (200).
On 17 Mar 10 a clerk at B&J Carryout,
38710 State Route 7, Newport, reported a an unknown white male
walked out of the store without paying for a twelve pack of
Busch Light and ten packages of Pall Mall cigarettes. The clerk
stated the suspect claimed he was retrieving money from his
vehicle but continued to walk toward the Saint Marys bridge
despite her pleas for him to return to pay for the items. This
case remains under investigation (296).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Michael Johnson, age 53, 728 Second Street,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a felony. Johnson was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Nohe of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
17 Mar 10 at 6:25 am.
Eric Leshun Ransom, age 30, 3507 142nd Street
Apt. 5, Cleveland, for .08 breath OVI, speeding and for operating
a vehicle with an expired license, all misdemeanors. Ransom
was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Mar 10
at 3:30 pm.
Trevor Ramon Watts, age 41, 14612 Reddington Avenue, Maple
Heights, OH, for driving under an FRA suspended license and
for speeding, both misdemeanors. Watts was picked up at the
city jail in Cleveland by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 17 Mar 10 at 4:24 pm.
William Richard Huffman, age 43, 5500 Lanix Springs Avenue
Apt. 107, Raleigh, NC, for three misdemeanor counts of failure
to appear. Huffman was picked up at the Mahoning County Jail
by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Mar 10 at 4:34 pm.
