On 4 Mar 10 Grace L. Duff, age 84, 11365 State
Route 26, Marietta, reported she awoke at 2 am to the sound
of two men knocking on her door. Ms. Duff stated she allowed
the men to enter to use the phone because their car allegedly
broke down. Once inside however, the two men grabbed her by
the wrist demanded money they said was for the Haiti relief
fund. The two suspects fled shortly thereafter when Ms. Duff
activated her Life Alert system. This case remains under investigation
(790).
On 4 Mar 10 Andrew Huck, age 32, 2027 Turkey
Hollow Road, Cutler, reported his live-in girlfriend Angela
M. Hall, age 35, assaulted him after he accused her of salaciously
cavorting about with other men. Angered at the repetitiousness
of her boyfriend’s allegations, Ms. Hall struck Mr. Huck
in the face with her hand and also hit him in the lower back
with a blow dryer. Questioned regarding her actions, Ms. Hall
admitted she struck her boyfriend both times because she was
very angry with him and because he grabbed her by the neck.
Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested Ms.
Hall for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington
County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Cass Daniel Mayle, age 25, 1680 Coal Street, Chesterhill,
for OVI, for failing to reinstate his operator’s license,
for driving under a suspended license, reckless operation and
for not wearing a seatbelt, all misdemeanors. Mayle was arrested
on Virginia Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 10 at
12:25 am.
Dustin Michael Stollings, age 19, 1501 Crescent Street, Parkersburg,
for OVI and for having only one operable headlight, both misdemeanors.
Stollings was arrested on Church Street in Vincent by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol processed into the Washington County Jail
on 4 Mar 10 at 3:40 am.
Wayne Anthony Rhodes, age 21, 818 25th Street,
Vienna, for felony charges of breach of recognizance and failure
to appear and for two misdemeanor counts of for violating the
terms of his probation. Rhodes was picked up at the North Central
Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 10 at 1:11 pm.
Cody Ryan Waite, age 18, 216 Fourth Street, Lowell, for contempt
of a court order, a misdemeanor. Waite turned himself in to
Patrolman Ellenwood at the Marietta City Police Department
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar
10 at 5:16 pm.
Chadwick Lynn Smearman, age 29, 111 Montgomery Street Lot
10, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Smearman
was arrested at his residence by Detective Staats of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 Mar 10 at 6:35 pm.
Dustin Thomas Goodnight, age 22, 129 ½ Spring Street,
Marietta, for obstructing official business and for possession
of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Goodnight was arrested
at Wal-Mart by Detective Schuck of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar
10 at 9:12 pm.
Beejay Allen Seevers, age 27, 323 Matthew Street, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license, for failure to comply
with the order/signal of an officer and for obstructing official
business, all misdemeanors. Seevers was arrested on Pike Street
in Marietta by Detective Schuck of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar
10 at 11:01 pm.
Benjamin Randall Bruce, age 21, 111 Montgomery Street Lot
23, Marietta, for burglary, menacing by stalking and theft,
all felonies. Bruce was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Ellenwood
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 10 at 11:05 pm.
