Archive of 02-28-10

On 28 Feb 10 Barbara Schaad, age 79, 3580 Burnett Road, Cutler, reported her purse was stolen while she briefly left it unattended during a pancake breakfast at Saint Ambrose Church that morning. Ms. Schaad stated the purse contained her pocketbook, three gift cards and other miscellaneous items. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 28 Feb 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for James F. O’Brien, age 32, 904 Fourth Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. Mr. O’Brien’s family members and girlfriend reported around 1 am that he phoned and make a comment that he planned to shoot his uncle. Deputies patrolled the area in search of Mr. O’Brien but were unsuccessful in locating him. Authorities in Columbus later contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report that Mr. O’Brien was arrested in that area and transported to Riverside Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Natalie Cole Pindro, age 20, 420 Mortimer Avenue, Turtle Creek, PS, for possession of drug paraphernalia and for underage consumption of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Pindro was arrested on Colegate Drive by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 10 at 6:08 am.

Craig Allen Hartline, age 56, 324 Market Street, Kittaning, PA, for unlawful restraint, assault, possession of drugs and for failure to reinstate his operator’s license, all misdemeanors. Hartline was arrested near the intersection of Third and Scammel streets by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 10 at 7:04 am.

David Timothy Close, age 39, 725 Front Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of domestic violence and for a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Close was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Feb 10 at 7:35 pm.
