On 14 Feb 10 a sixteen year old Belpre resident reported he wrecked his Chevy S-10 along Darnold Road in Fairfield Township on 9 Feb and the vehicle could not be towed from its location due to the snow. Three days later the teenager said he returned to check on his vehicle and discovered the tailgate, CD player and rear license plate were missing. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 14 Feb 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested a summons for Travis S. Dawkins, age 24, 1630 Seventh Avenue, Charleston, WV, for assault. Mr. Dawkins was involved in a heated argument with his girlfriend at her residence on Pine Drive in Little Hocking when his girlfriend’s fourteen year old daughter phoned 911. The teenager informed Deputy Anderson that she ran away from Mr. Dawkins and that he grabbed her arms and knocked her onto the floor. The juvenile also commented that she attempted to flee out the door and that Mr. Dawkins struck her in the face with his hand.

On 14 Feb 10 Michael E. Kemp, age 36, 321 Barrett-South Road, Vincent, reported he arrived home to find his girlfriend striking the kitchen counter with a large knife. Mr. Kemp stated he rents the residence from his mother and that his girlfriend, Jennifer Ruth, age 36, 2110 Barth Road, Belpre, left their friend’s residence following an argument and went to his home. Mr. Kemp said Ms. Ruth “flipped out” and also damaged a nightstand. Interviewed at her residence, Ms. Ruth commented she could not recall the entire incident but admitted causing damage to Mr. Kemp’s home. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Rhodes requested a summons for Ms. Ruth for criminal damaging.

On 14 Feb 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for Shawn E. Covey, age 32, 10 Browns Road Apt. B3, Marietta, for criminal damaging. During an argument with his girlfriend in a room at the Reno Motel earlier in the evening, Mr. Covey used a plastic soda bottle to break the upper glass window of a storm door.

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Dreama Mongeau, age 33, 724 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Mongeau was arrested at 133 Green Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14 Feb 10 at 2:35 am.
