On 12 Feb 10 Erica Harvey, age 25, 1750 Brackenridge
Road, Vincent, reported she sustained minor injuries during
an altercation with her live-in boyfriend Steven W. Rush, age
23. Arguing over their relationship, Ms. Harvey said Mr. Rush
threw household cleaner in her face and that she accidentally
struck her boyfriend when she attempted to shield her face.
Ms. Harvey stated her boyfriend then began to choke her and
punched her in the ribs and back. Thrown the floor, Ms. Harvey
commented that Mr. Rush jumped on top of her and pulled her
arm to the point at which she thought he would break it. Mr.
Rush eventually ceased his attack and eventually left the residence.
Located after Lt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriff Caltrider arrived,
Mr. Rush was arrested for domestic violence and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 12 Feb 10 a thirty-nine year old Marietta
resident reported her seventeen year old son left their residence
on 29 Jan 10 and she has not seen or heard from him since.
The juvenile reportedly text messaged his sister and indicated
he would not return. Currently on probation, the teenager’s
probation officer requested a warrant for the juvenile for
violating his probation (592).
On 12 Feb 10 an individual reported seeing
what appeared to be a pair of car seats and vehicle carpeting
on a property in the vicinity of the 800 block of Hunter Avenue
in Marietta. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 12 Feb 10 Richard Starkey, age 47, 2150
Hannah Road, Marietta, reported a fourteen foot utility trailer
was stolen from his deceased father’s property at 113
Wilson Lane, Marietta. Deputy Sheriff Carr ascertained the
location of the trailer, which he determined was given to an
individual as a family member’s payment for work performed
on a mobile home. Mr. Starkey retrieved the trailer and towed
it for safekeeping. The family member’s role in the theft
of the trailer remains under investigation.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Steven Wayne Rush, age 23, 1770 Sealy Ridge
Road, Vincent, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Rush was
arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Feb 10 at 3:28 am.
Travis Jack Church, age 30, 138 Betsy Lane, Belpre, for violating
the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Church was arrested
at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Feb 10 at 8:26 am.
Cody Justin Cline, age 29, 4103 Jackson Run
Road, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of his probation
and for being a repeat traffic offender, both misdemeanors.
Cline was arrested at the Washington County courthouse by Patrolman
Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Feb 10 at 11:30 am.
Ralph David Shade, age 58, 7501 Jefferson
Avenue Apt. 705, Detroit, MI, for failure to appear, a felony.
Shade was arrested in Common Pleas Court by Major Coppernoll
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Feb 10 at 12:45 pm.
Heath Michael Patterson, age 38, 60 Mount
Tom Pines Road, Marietta, for three felony counts of trafficking
in drugs and for a misdemeanor charge of theft. Patterson was
arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Feb 10 at 1:40 pm.
Shane Allen Faddis, age 22, 4005 Ellis Road,
Coolville, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Faddis was picked up in Nelsonville
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 12 Feb 10 at 4:50 pm.
