On 9 Feb 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr arrested a
sixteen year old Little Hocking resident for delinquency by
domestic violence. Upset that her fifty-two year old grandmother
asked her to quit using the internet so she could make phone
calls, the teenager began swearing and yelling. Shortly thereafter
the teenager overheard her grandmother mention to the teenager’s
mother that she was tired of the juvenile’s behavior
and she would have to raise her own children. As she held her
eleven month old child, the juvenile began striking her grandmother
with a baby bottle. The teenager then grabbed her grandmother
by the hair, pulling a handful out. The teenager’s mother
took the child from her daughter, at which point the juvenile
repeatedly slapped her grandmother and shoved her to the floor.
The grandmother eventually fled to the garage after striking
her granddaughter in the head with a skillet.
