On 6 Feb 10 William McAtee,
age 51, 109 Belaire Drive, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect(s)
obtained his credit card information and used it to purchase
over $600 worth of goods from Wal-Mart in Heath, OH. This case
remains under investigation (594).
On 6 Feb 10 Deputy Sheriffs Holbert and Mayle
responded to a domestic disturbance at 2020 Bear Run Road,
Reno. Upset and arguing that she believed her husband had an
affair with her sister, Suzanne Selsor, age 56, slapped her
husband Ronald, age 49, across the face. Both subjects admitted
consuming alcohol the previous evening and indicated that their
hangovers contributed to their agitation with each other. Mr.
Selsor said he did not fear for his safety during the incident
and he stated he did not believe his wife was trying to harm
him. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Mayle issued Mrs. Selsor a
minor misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct by fighting.
On 6 Feb 10 Sgt. Norman and Deputy Sheriff
Caltrider responded to reports of a loud party at 508 Elk Run
Road, Beverly. Upon their arrival the Deputies observed a full
case and an empty case of Bud Light on the porch. After pounding
loudly on the door numerous times, Brian M. Grommeck, age 19,
2095 Beech Hilaman Road, Stockport, opened the door and allowed
them to enter the home. Inside the home the Deputies noticed
a number of individuals who appeared to be under twenty-one
years old sheepishly attempting to hide beer behind their backs
and several others tried to evade detection by disappearing
down a hallway. Gathering the individuals in the home, the
Deputies identified the adults other than Mr. Grommeck as one
of the home’s residents, John Shockley, age 19, and Cassandra
Blackburn, age 18, 922 High Street, Malta. Additionally, the
Deputies identified the juveniles present as seventeen and
sixteen year old Stockport residents, a fifteen year old McConnelsville
resident, a fifteen year old Malta resident, and sixteen and
fifteen year old Beverly residents. The teenagers, most of
whom had an odor of alcohol, all stated they were at theresidence
celebrating a birthday. Of all the juveniles only the sixteen
year old Beverly resident had not consumed any alcohol and
was released from the scene. The remaining juveniles were released
to their parents and will be summonsed to Juvenile Court on
charges on charges of delinquency by underage consumption of
alcohol. Mr. Grommeck, Mr. Shockley and Ms. Blackburn were
all arrested for underage consumption of alcohol and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
SUSPECTED HEROIN COURIER
ARRESTED
At 1700 hours on 6 Feb 2010 Agents with the Major Crimes Task
Force and Detectives and Uniformed Officers of the Washington
County Sheriff's Office conducted an interdiction traffic stop
on IS-77 near Milepost 13. Arrested was Kyle A. Morris, age
28, 103 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH for possession of 86
balloons of heroin and approximately two grams of cocaine.
Morris was originally stopped for speeding and later admitted
the drugs hidden under the front seat belonged to him. Morris
was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail
where he is being held on a F3 and F5 drug possession charge.
The drugs have a street value of approximately $5,000.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Christopher Adam Lent, age 23, 3835 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell,
for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony. Lent was
arrested by Patrolman Chapman at the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at
3:10 am.
Michael Shawn Williams, age 33, 3995 Pleasant Ridge Road,
Marietta, for failure to appear, a felony. Williams was arrested
in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
6 Feb 10 at 4:33 am.
Maurice Agusta Banks Jr., age 35, 910 Cooper Street, Bluefield,
WV, for possession of drugs, a felony. Banks was arrested on
Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 8:32 am.
Barbara Lou Wilder, age 64, 205 Sixth Street, Beverly, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Wilder was arrested at her
residence by Patrolman Offenberger of the Beverly Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at
4:24 pm.
Kyle Andrew Morris, age 28, 103 Muskingum Drive, Marietta,
for two felony counts of possession of drugs. Morris was arrested
on Interstate 77 by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb
10 at 5:46 pm.
Cassandra Renee Blackburn, age 18, 3613 State Route 60 NE,
McConnelsville, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
Blackburn was arrested at 508 Elk Run Road by Sgt. Norman of
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at 11:19 pm.
John Cody Shockley, age 19, 4585 Chase Hill Road, Stockport,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Shockley
was arrested at 508 Elk Run Road by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at
11:26 pm.
Brian Matthew Grommeck, age 19, 2095 Beech Hilaman Road, Stockport,
for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Grommeck
was arrested at 508 Elk Run Road by Deputy Sheriff Caltrider
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 10 at
11:36 pm.
