Archive of 01-27-10

On 27 Jan 10 Terri Pinkerton, age 35, 1320 Caywood Road, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect utilized her personal information to bill $16 to her home phone account for three consecutive months beginning in November 2009. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 27 Jan 10 Aaron Lang, age 31, 800 State Route 821, Marietta, reported sometime between 6 pm on 22 Jan an 11 am on 27 Jan an unknown suspect(s) entered a building on his property and cut a lead wire on welding machine inside the building. Mr. Lang also stated the suspect(s) also stole 250 feet of welding cable and copper welding leads from trucks parked near the building. This case remains under investigation (208).

On 27 Jan 10 Sgt. Norman responded to the scene of death of a fifty year old Bartlett resident. The woman’s family stated the victim was battling cancer and finally succumbed to the disease.

On 27 Jan 10 Deputy Sheriff Caltrider responded to a report from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina indicating a vehicle occupied by three runaway juveniles was parked along the Macksburg exit on Interstate 77. Lt. Stackpole and Deputy Caltrider took custody of the thirteen year old boy and two fifteen year old boys and transported them to the Washington County Juvenile Center where they were later picked up by their parents.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Bobbie Sue Davis, age 25, 102 Gilligan Court Apt. 10, Wheeling, WV, for misuse of a credit card and for two counts of theft, all felonies. Davis was picked up at the Lakin Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jan 10 at 1:55 pm.

Joseph S. Vangorden, age 18, 642 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Vangorden was arrested at Warren High School by Probation Officer Hinkle and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jan 10 at 3:57 pm.

Charles Lee Farsht, age 27, Super 8 Motel, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Farsht was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jan 10 at 7:45 pm.

Justin Daniel Deems, age 29, 725 ½ Seventh Street, Marietta, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs. Deems was arrested at 1415 Lancaster Street by Detective Staats of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jan 10 at 11:10 pm.

Robert William Farmer, age 33, 1415 Lancaster Street Apt. 101F, Marietta, for possession of drugs and for tampering with evidence, both felonies. Farmer was arrested at his residence by Detective Staats of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jan 10 at 11:15 pm.

Jerry Allen Raines, age 39, 2620 Federal Road, Little Hocking, for having a weapon while under disability, a felony. Raines was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jan 10 at 11:45 pm.
