On 20 Jan 10 Ricky L. Beaver, age 50, 101
Evans Street Apt. B11, New Matamoras, reported sometime overnight
an unknown suspect(s) entered his locked vehicle and stole
a CD case and his prescription bottles of Xanax and Vicodin.
This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 20 Jan 10 Deputy Sheriff Anderson responded
to the scene of death of an eighty-two year old Fleming resident.
The woman’s death appears to be due to natural causes;
no foul play is suspected.
On 20 Jan 10 a CPA reported finding a $3,000
discrepancy in the checking account of an eighty-eight year
old Fleming resident. The CPA stated it appears an acquaintance
of her client surreptitiously wrote the check to herself and
then altered a bank statement to conceal the transaction. This
case remains under investigation (200).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kylie Leigh Smith, age 20, 103 Merryhill Street, Marietta,
for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and
for violating the terms of her probation, all misdemeanors.
Smith was arrested on Harmar Hill by Sgt. Thorpe of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Jan 10 at 12:25 am.
Brent Wesley Bailey, age 25, 708 Clement Avenue, Belpre, for
OVI, a misdemeanor. Bailey was arrested on Franklin Street
in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 20 Jan 10 at 12:51 am.
Trent Dwight Mason, age 21, 432 Douglas Avenue, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Mason was arrested at 312 Harmar Street
by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jan 10
at 3:28 am.
Timothy Allen Beard, age 28, 2628 Gilbert Avenue NE, Canton,
for receiving stolen property, a felony. Beard was arrested
on Douglas Avenue by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Jan 10 at 6:40 am.
Christopher Robert Karcher, age 30, 243 Muskingum
Drive, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor.
Karcher turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Simmons and was
processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jan 10 at 6:24
pm.
