On 15 Jan 10 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested
a summons for James Richards, age 59, 2620 Prior Glass Road,
New Matamoras, for disorderly conduct. When Mr. Richards’ wife
Sonja, age 34, refused to exit the passenger side of the vehicle
in which he was attempting to leave the residence, Mr. Richards
attempted to forcibly remove her. During the minor scuffle
Mrs. Richards received a superficial scratch on her chin. At
no point during the incident did Mrs. Richards report she was
in fear for her safety.
On 15 Jan 10 Deputy Sheriff Sheaves arrested
a fifteen year old Belpre resident on a charge of delinquency
by domestic violence. Caught sleeping in class and appearing
to be under the influence of drugs, the teenager was picked
up at Warren High School by his grandparents. The juvenile
immediately attempted to provoke his grandfather into hitting
him and once they arrived at his grandparents’ residence
in Little Hocking the teenager grabbed a paring knife from
a kitchen drawer. The teenager’s grandmother said she
feared for her safety and for that of her husband and grandson
as her grandson held the knife and acted as he were going to
cut himself.

Office received the following warrants:
Laurence D. Cleghorn, age 45, Route 1 Box
58, Little Hocking, for failing to appear for a hearing on
8 Jan 10.
Eric B. Dickinson, age 47, 310 S. Hague Street, Columbus,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order
to show cause on 4 Jan 10.
William R. Harris, age 30, 1535 Braun Road, Belpre, for failing
to appear for a bond hearing and arraignment on 8 Jan 10.
Travis Klein, age 20, Marietta, for failing to appear for
trial on 6 Jan 10.
John L. Lindsey II, age 33, 230 East Henniger Road, Lowell,
for failing to appear for pretrial on 11 Jan 10.
Evan Tingler, 713 Hillcrest Street, Parkersburg, for possession
of drug paraphernalia on 9 Dec 09.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Benjamin Randall Bruce, age 21, 111 Montgomery
Street Lot 23, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Bruce was arrested at his residence by Probation
Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 15 Jan 10 at 9:10 am.
Ryan Deane Pracht, age 31, 114 Westchester
Drive, Marietta, for a felony charge of theft and for misdemeanor
charges of theft and theft by deception. Pracht was arrested
at the Sheriff’s Office by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jan 10 at 5:50
pm.
