On 26 Dec 09 Diane L. Hockenberry, age 48, 1055 Cole-Coffman Road, Marietta, was life-flighted to Charleston Area Medical Center for treatment to injuries suffered during an ATV mishap AT 20850 State Route 550, Marietta. Riding on an ATV operated by her husband, Mrs. Hockenberry fell from the ATV after the ATV rolled backward as her husband attempted to ascend a steep hill. Mrs. Hockenberry rolled down the hill and the tumbling ATV fell on her, causing her injuries. Deputy Sheriff Smeeks concluded neither reckless operation nor alcohol contributed to the accident.

On 26 Dec 09 Deputy Sheriff Reeder issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Richard A. Poggemiller, age 24, 2705 Lake Road Apt. B, Fleming, for disorderly conduct. Upset that his wife would not talk to him or respond to his questions, Mr. Poggemiller began acting irrationally and started yelling, screaming and slamming doors in the home. When his wife escaped to a neighbor’s house, Mr. Poggemiller followed and continued his tantrum until he was escorted from the neighbor’s home. Interviewing witnesses, Deputy Reeder determined no threat or act of domestic violence occurred during the incident.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Brenda Leann Miller, age 41, 304 Blennerhassett Avenue Apt. 5, Belpre, failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines and for two counts of failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Miller was picked up at the Belpre Police Department by Sgt. Thorpe of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Dec 09 at 3:13 pm.

Daniel E. Hendrickson Sr., age 55, 775 Gravel Bank Road, Marietta, for a felony charge of OVI and for misdemeanor charges of driving under an OVI suspended license, failure to control and possession of drugs. Hendrickson was arrested on Vickers Road by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Dec 09 at 11:30 pm.
