On 17 Dec 09 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks requested
a summons for Joshua Schultheis, age 28, 104 West Faye Avenue,
Marietta, for theft. Interviewed regarding the theft of a tree
stand and trail camera from property at 7065 State Route 530,
Lowell, on 15 Oct 09, Mr. Schultheis admitted stealing the
items and stated he still had them. Deputy Smeeks recovered
the stolen equipment and returned them to their owner.
On 17 Dec 09 John G. Mefford, age 37, 840
Fifth Street, Marietta, reported at 6:20 pm on 16 Dec he parked
his 1997 Kia Sportage in the Pit Stop parking lot while he
carpooled to Caldwell with coworkers. Mr. Mefford stated when
he returned from his shift at 8:30 am the following morning
the vehicle was missing. This case remains under investigation
(809).
On 17 Dec 09 an employee of the Washington
County Highway Department, 103 Westview Avenue, Marietta, reported
he recently discovered a chainsaw assigned to a county truck
did not match the serial number of the chainsaw they had on
file. The employee stated he believes the chainsaw may have
been swapped accidentally while the county worked alongside
local fire departments during recent windstorms. This case
remains under investigation (809).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Shawn Michael O’Brien, age 20, 4416
Lightner Ridge Road, Stockport, for violating the terms of
his probation, a misdemeanor. O’Brien was arrested at
the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Dec 09 at 8:54 am.
Graham Thomas Mace, age 24, 18001 State Route 676, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Mace
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Dec 09 at 2:40
pm.
Shawn Henry Farnsworth, age 37, 10825 Highland Ridge Road,
Macksburg, for two misdemeanor counts of nonsupport of dependants.
Farnsworth turned himself in to Corrections Officer Heddleston
and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Dec
09 at 7:33 pm.
