On 11 Dec 09 Lt. Stackpole and fire departments
from Barlow, Dunham and Wesley townships responded to a fire
at the home of Rex A. Marshall, age 49, at 694 Tick Ridge Road,
Vincent. Causing heavy damage, the fire appears to have started
in the area of a wood burning stove. No injuries were reported.
On 11 Dec 09 Krystal Gibbs, age 33, 1200 Muskingum
River Road, Marietta, reported her live-in boyfriend Daniel
Patchett, age 45, became enraged when she asked him to leave
the home because he was repeatedly making vulgar comments.
Mr. Patchett refused to leave and exclaimed, “I broke
your nose before, this time I will kill you!” Determining
Ms. Gibbs feared for her safety during the incident, Deputy
Sheriff Caltrider arrested Mr. Patchett for domestic violence
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 11 Dec 09 Deputy Sheriff Reeder responded
to a vehicle fire at the residence of Ryan Cisler, age 18,
410 Reynolds Run Road, Newport. Mr. Cisler said he was in his
garage working on a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am with his brother
when the flames erupted. Mr. Cisler and his brother pushed
the vehicle out of the garage and extinguished the blaze prior
to the arrival of the Newport Fire Department.
On 11 Dec 09 an Oldsmobile 88 owned by David
R. Lauer, age 33, 5640 Waterford Road, Marietta, caused substantial
damage to a neighbor’s home when the vehicle coasted
out of his driveway and across the street. In a car seat but
not belted, Mr. Lauer’s four year old son climbed out
of his seat and placed the vehicle in neutral while Mr. Lauer
was speaking with a neighbor fifteen feet away from the car.
The child was not injured in the crash that caused minor damage
to the vehicle (1104).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Erin Christine Dutton, age 23, 341 Tadpole
Run Road, Belpre, for illegally assembling drug chemicals and
for four counts of trafficking in drugs, all felonies. Dutton
was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Dec 09 at 1:53
pm.
Jessie Mae Morrison, age 32, 848 Greene Street, Marietta,
for criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. Morrison was arrested
in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
11 Dec 09 at 11:00 pm.
