On 31 Oct 09 Nathan A. Gardner, age 31, 494
Beach Drive, Belpre, reported around 10:15 pm his sister in
law heard a breaking sound in the basement and when he checked
for the origin of the noise he noticed a window was broken.
This case remains under investigation (208, 500, 1090).
On 31 Oct 09 Gary L. Harker, age 45, 1055
Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, reported he is currently out of town
but that a neighbor phoned him and said they observed two suspects
carrying a tree stand from out behind his residence. This case
remains under investigation (712).
On 31 Oct 09 Deputy Sheriff Mayle responded
to the scene of an overdose at a residence in Waterford. Barely
coherent when The Beverly-Waterford emergency squad arrived,
the thirty-one year old victim stated she ingested four pills
of the prescription drug Flexeril. The victim was transported
to Camden Clark Hospital for treatment and evaluation.
On 31 Oct 09 Sgt. Norman issued a minor misdemeanor
citation to Carina L. Wittekind, age 26, 1007 Pike Street,
Marietta, for disorderly conduct. Heavily intoxicated, Ms.
Wittekind was arguing with her boyfriend, be came upset and
started breaking items in their home. Ms. Wittekind also cut
her wrists several times with a razor blade but stated she
had no intention of killing herself.
On 31 Oct 09 TJ Cronin, age 41, 150 Mile Run
Road, Marietta, reported he departed his residence at 10 pm
the previous evening and when he returned home at 2 am he discovered
the glass in his front door was completely shattered. It does
not appear that the suspect(s) responsible for the damage attempted
to enter the house. This case remains under investigation (308).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Michael Smith, age 30, 41554 Coolville Ridge Road, Reedsville,
for OVI and for driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors.
Smith was arrested on State Route 7 in Marietta by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 31 Oct 09 at 2:55 am.
Shamus Michael O’Shea, age 23, 17 Cross Street, Gardner,
MA, for OVI, for OVI, a misdemeanor. O’Shea was arrested
on Front Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Oct 09
at 4:30 am.
Jeremy Randall Adkins, age 34, 120 Wells Avenue, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Adkins was arrested at
his residence by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
31 Oct 09 at 3:25 pm.
