On 30 Oct 09 a seventeen year old Newport resident reported a Remington twelve gauge shotgun and a Colt .22 caliber revolver were stolen from his residence while he was playing basketball at Newport Elementary between 3 pm and 6 pm on 28 Oct 09. This case remains under investigation (594).

On 30 Oct 09 Detective Travaglio issued a citation to Carolyn M. Spencer, age 23, 460 Barrett-South Road, Vincent, for not wearing a seat belt. Detective Travaglio originally stopped Ms. Spencer for not using a turn signal when overtaking two vehicles at a high rate of speed on State Route 550 near Warren Chapel Road in Warren Township.

On 30 Oct 09 Lee Ann Piggott, age 48, 1498 Windy Ridge Road, Vincent, reported at least fifty of her campaign signs for Fairfield Township- trustee were stolen sometime overnight. This case remains under investigation (1104).

On 30 Oct 09 Matt Hansel, age 33, 21940 State Route 676, Marietta, reported sometime during the last six days a component for a haybine was stolen from a property he owns at 1735 Hendershot Road, Waterford. This case remains under investigation (308).

On 30 Oct 09 Detective Travaglio issued a citation to Harry J. Antill Jr., age 35, 5199 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, for not wearing a seat belt. Detective Travaglio originally stopped Mr. Antill for not using a turn signal when turning from State Route 550 onto Cole-Coffman Road in Warren Township.

On 30 Oct 09 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested Christopher D. Gaumer, age 23, 613 Lorena Street SW, North Canton, for possession of marijuana and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Stopped on US 50 near Clement Avenue for not having a front license plate, Mr. Gaumer appeared nervous and consented to a search of his vehicle. A pat down for weapons on Mr. Gaumer revealed a small quantity of marijuana and a marijuana pipe he had in his possession.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Renee Lasharon Williams, age 37, 2233 89th Street, Cleveland, for a felony charge of violating the terms of her parole and for misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams was arrested near milepost five on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 09 at 4:50 am.

Barbara Ann Tabler, age 45, 13263 State Route 555, Cutler, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Tabler turned herself in to Lt. Summers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 09 at 10:00 am.

Christopher David Gaumer, age 23, 613 Lorena Street SW, North Canton, for possession of drugs and for possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Gaumer was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 09 at 5:43 pm.

Robert Brooks Ball, age 28, 905 Erie Street, Parkersburg, for two felony counts of illegal possession of a firearm in a school zone. Ball was arrested at Marietta High School by Patrolman Gragan of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Oct 09 at 11:56 pm.
