On 23 Oct 09 Teresa D. Tilton, age 39, 12622 State Route 60, Lowell, reported during an argument over a piece of mail the couple received, her husband threw two dining room chairs out a back door, over their deck and into the backyard. When questioned, Mr. Tilton admitted throwing the chairs in anger and claimed his wife struck him with a chair. Mr. Tilton, who was intoxicated at the time, exhibited no injuries indicative of being struck with a chair. Interviewed the following morning after his arrest for violating his probation, Mr. Tilton declined to pursue charges against his wife and stated she only attempted to strike him with a piece of a broken chair. Sgt. Rhodes and Lt. Wilson could find no additional evidence supporting Mrs. Tilton’s claim of domestic violence.
