On 21 Oct 09 an eighty-six year old Marietta resident reported finding what appears to be drug paraphernalia in a purse in her granddaughter’s room in her home. Deputy Sheriff Sheaves recovered the syringes, bottle caps and a spoon and placed them in evidence. This case remains under investigation (308).

On 21 Oct 09 Tonya Hays, age 28, 1418 Barth Road, Belpre, reported her husband threatened to assault her during a heated argument over their finances. After further questioning Mrs. Hays said the threatening comment was made in the heat of the moment and that she did not feel her husband would actually hurt her. Determining no threat or act of domestic violence occurred, Deputy Smeeks closed this case as unfounded.

On 21 Oct 09 Renee Kraynak, age 52, 101 Randolph Road, Marietta, reported that evening her son Aaron M. Brown, age 28, assaulted both her and her husband, Kirk Ogden, age 52. Mrs. Kraynak stated her son arrived home drunk and was about to bring beer into the house when she told him that he could not drink alcohol in the home. Upset, Mr. Brown stormed into his room, shut the door and sometime thereafter began smoking marijuana. When Mrs. Kraynak confronted her son, Mr. Brown punched her in the chest. Witnessing the punch, Mr. Ogden intervened, at which time Mr. Brown punched him in the nose and in the side of his head. Unable to locate Mr. Brown, Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck requested two warrants for the suspect for domestic violence.

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Michael C. Ayers, age 48, 775 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, for failing to appear for pretrial on 16 Oct 09.

Crystal D. Hoover, age 18, 186 Main Street Lot 1, Lowell, for failing to appear for jury trial on 21 Oct 09.

Kevin W. Lott, age 38, 4418 11th Avenue, Parkersburg, for failing to appear to begin serving intermittent jail sentences on 16 Oct 09.

Ryan D. McFann, age 24, 105 State Route 555 Apt. 5, Little Hocking, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,455.70.

Stacy R. Robinson, age 22, 4150 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $321.75.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jeffrey Dean Parker, age 44, 3730 State Route 26, Marietta, for domestic violence and arson, both misdemeanors. Parker was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Oct 09 at 11:35 am.

Richard James Wood, age 51, 3045 Crestview Drive, Florence, SC, for two felony counts of failure to register a change of address as a registered sex offender. Wood was picked up in Florence County, South Carolina by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Oct 09 at 6:50 pm.
