On 17 Oct 09 Deputy Sheriff Reeder requested a summons for Michelle Moats, age 37, 220 Morris Road, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Though Ms. Moats claimed she was assaulted, witnesses contradicted her statements, saying Ms. Moats was highly intoxicated and combative. Ms. Moats did suffer an injury during the incident when her boyfriend attempted to wrestle a loaded shotgun from her hands. During the struggle Ms. Moats fell and suffered a laceration above her eye.

On 17 Oct 09 Guy P. Ash, age 48, 45 Hazelwood Road, Marietta, reported he heard a crackling noise near his microwave around 1:15 pm and immediately noticed holes in the wall of his residence and in the back of the microwave. Examining the kitchen appliance, Deputy Sheriff Holbert located and extracted what appeared to be a .22 caliber bullet. The shooting does not appear to be intentional, however, this case remains under investigation.

On 17 Oct 09 Dezzarae Taylor, age 21, 11715 State Route 550, Fleming, reported when she returned to her residence at 1 am after being gone for several hours she found her home was broken into and her forty-six inch LCD television was stolen.
