On 14 Sep 09 Craig A. Nichols, age 54, 325
S. Seventh Street, Marietta, reported he was attempting to
locate a vehicle for repossession on Tick Ridge Road in Vincent
when he was confronted by an angry property owner. While the
property owner claims Mr. Nichols ignored repeated requests
to leave the property, Mr. Nichols asserts that no such request
was made and accused the property owner of brandishing an air
rifle. This case remains under investigation (610).
On 14 Oct 09 an employee of Camelot Mobile
Home Sales, 655 Joe Skinner Road, Belpre, reported on 8 Oct
a 32” flat screen television was stolen from one of the
business’ display units. This case remains under investigation
(790).
On 14 Oct 09 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Howard O. Feick III, age 43, 438 Fifth Street,
Marietta, for operating a vehicle with a license plate that
expired in April 2009. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Feick on
State Route 7 near Wal-Mart in Pioneer Township.
On 14 Oct 09 Joanie Gildow, age 30, 530 High
Street, Macksburg, reported her brother and his girlfriend
live with her and the couple was involved in a heated argument
that evening. Ms. Gildow said the two were drinking Black Velvet
whiskey and at one point her brother’s girlfriend threw
a barstool. Interviewing the involved parties, Deputy Sheriff
Mankins determined no threats were made and no act of domestic
violence occurred.
On 14 Oct 09 the assistant principal at Warren
High School reported a student informed him that a female student
attempted to sell him what appeared to be prescription medication.
Questioned in the presence of her mother, the suspect gave
evasive answers to Deputy Sheriff Rhodes but eventually admitted
taking some of her mother’s Vicodin and some of her own
prescriptions pills to school. Upon completion Deputy Rhodes
will forward this case to the Prosecutor’s Office for
further action.
On 14 Oct 09 Ronald Eddy, age 38, 551 Hocking
Road, Little Hocking, reported a Makita miter saw was stolen
from a home construction site at 39 Hollywood Drive in Little
Hocking sometime between 5 pm on 12 Oct and 4 pm on 14 Oct.
This case remains under investigation (790).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jeffrey Ryan Acree, age 36, 405 Reed Road,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, possession
of drugs and for driving left of center, all misdemeanors.
Acree was arrested on Sandhill Road by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14
Oct 09 at 12:55 am.
Edward Albert Minke, age 42, 605 10th Street,
Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Minke was arrested
in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Oct 09 at 11:18 am.
Krista Nicole Grywalsky, age 26, 707 Warren Street Apt. B,
Marietta, for falsification, a misdemeanor. Grywalsky was arrested
in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Oct 09 at 4:36 pm.
