On 8 Oct 09 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a
minor misdemeanor citation to Steven A. Dillon, age 23, 5501
Hudson Road, Reedsville, OH, for possession of marijuana. Stopping
Mr. Dillon on State Route 7 near Arrowhead Road for having
an inoperable license plate light, Deputy Smeeks conducted
an exterior sniff of the vehicle using his canine. Following
his canine’s indication for the presence of drugs, Deputy
Smeeks searched Mr. Dillon’s vehicle and discovered a
bag containing 3.42 grams of marijuana.
On 8 Oct 09 Steve Bober, age 45, 112 Brandt
Drive, Marietta, reported a total of seven of his campaign
signs for township trustee were stolen from locations on Goose
Run Road, County House Lane, Browns Road, Edmar Road and Cornerstone
Drive. Mr. Bober declined to pursue the matter further, he
only wanted it known that unknown suspect(s) were stealing
campaign signs (594).

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Louis Sharals Johnson III, age 21, 4871 Archdale
Lane, Columbus, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Johnson was arrested near milepost six on Interstate 77 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 8 Oct 09 at 3:20 am.
Roger Lee Slack Sr., age 63, 288 Ridgewood
Court Apt. E, Marietta, for telephone harassment, a misdemeanor.
Slack was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman
Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Oct 09 at 9:07 am.
Charles Robert Edgell, age 21, 523 13 ½ Street, Parkersburg,
for theft, a felony. Edgell turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff
Sheaves and was processed into the Washington County Jail on
8 Oct 09 at 1:40 pm.
Diego Rivera Gomez, age 27, 2275 Meadowview Drive, Parkersburg,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors.
Gomez was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman
Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 8 Oct 09 at 4:11 pm.
Joanne Lee Hall, age 26, 36 Mountaineer Way, Williamstown,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Hall was arrested at Wal-Mart by
Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Oct 09 at
6:20 pm.
