On 7 Oct 09 Mona O’Connor, age 58, 3656
School House Road, Little Hocking, reported she found what
appears to be bullet holes in a curtain and window on the front
side of her home. Ms. O’Connor said a number of deer
inhabit the property nearby and she does not believe the damage
was caused intentionally. This case remains under investigation
(308).
On 7 Oct 09 Patricia Riddle, age 71, 103 Mound
Drive, Marietta, reported a woman purporting to be a debt collector
phoned her and attempted to collect a debt from a bad check
allegedly written at a store in Seattle, Washington in August.
The personal information on the check belonged to Ms. Riddle
but she said that the account did not belong to her and was
supposedly opened at a bank in Maryland. This case remains
under investigation (308).
On 7 Oct 09 an administrator at Warren High
School reported being informed by a bus driver on 5 Oct that
a student riding the bus made comments about stabbing him in
the neck. Given a five day suspension as a result of the threat,
the sixteen year old female suspect previously withdrew from
the school to take classes online. The victim declined to pursue
criminal charges in the matter (500).
On 7 Oct 09 Brandon Hunt, age 21, 1500 County
House Lane, Marietta, reported two .22 caliber rifles were
stolen from his gun cabinet at some point during the past day.
This case remains under investigation (594).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Sondra Elizabeth Simpson, age 24, 908 Fourth
Street, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license and
for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Simpson was
arrested at her residence by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Oct 09 at
8:26 am.
Terry Anthony Waterman, age 37, 6939 State
Route 821, Whipple, for felonious assault and for a felony
charge of abduction. Waterman was picked up in Athens by Deputy
Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 7 Oct 09 at 3:41 pm.
Timothy Ray Cross, age 49, 10180 State Route 821, Lower Salem,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Cross was arrested along
the 300 block of Third Street by Patrolman McClelland of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 7 Oct 09 at 6:10 pm.
Kayla Marie Sites, age 23, 69 Seventh Street, McConnelsville,
for driving under an OVI suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Sites was arrested near milepost twenty on State Route 60 by
the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 7 Oct 09 at 8:30 pm.
Stephanie Renee Carpenter, age 19, 957 Braun Road, Belpre,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested
at her residence by Patrolman Hunter of the Belpre City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
7 Oct 09 at 8:40 pm.
