On 3 Oct 09 Deputy Sheriff Holbert arrested
Mark A. Bennett, age 19, 206 Fifth Street, Marietta, for underage
consumption of alcohol and disorderly conduct. An employee
at the Lowell Duke reported Mr. Bennett was at the store and
creating a disturbance by arguing with his girlfriend and refusing
to leave the store. Continuing his obnoxious behavior while
being interviewed by Deputies, Mr. Bennett had glassy, bloodshot
eyes and an odor of alcohol.
On 3 Oct 09 James Trescott, age 65, 813 Robinson
Hill Road, Marietta, reported while he was away on a fishing
trip an acquaintance approached his wife and claimed he had
permission to remove several items from his property. Mr. Trescott
state he gave the individual permission to take scrap items
approximately six months ago but did not give him permission
to take copper wire and tires on 1 Oct. Mr. Trescott estimates
the value of the stolen items to be between $4,500 and $5,000.
This case remains under investigation (308).
On 3 Oct 09 Laura Mann, age 23, 1020 Caywood
Road, Marietta, reported sometime during the day an unknown
suspect(s) damaged the rear passenger side fender of her Chevy
Suburban. Ms. Mann suspects the individual who damaged her
vehicle did so because she is allowing the individual’s
estranged wife to live with her. This case remains under investigation
(594).
On 3 Oct 09 Martha Stutler, age 69, 17035
State Route 339, Waterford, reported over fifty Vicodin pills
have been stolen from her residence over the past two days.
This case remains under investigation (308).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Aaron Matthew Brown, age 28, 101 Randolph Road, Marietta,
for OVI, driving under a suspended license, for operating a
bicycle on the roadway and for operating a bicycle without
proper lighting, all misdemeanors. Brown was arrested on State
Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 09 at 1:01 am.
Charles Dean McCoy, age 49, 307 Washington Boulevard, Belpre,
for OVI, for driving under a suspended license and for driving
outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. McCoy
was arrested on State Route 7 in Marietta by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 3 Oct 09 at 3:10 am.
Mark Allen Bennett, age 19, 206 Fifth Street, Marietta, for
underage consumption of alcohol, for disorderly conduct and
for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors.
Bennett was arrested at the Lowell Duke by Deputy Sheriff Holbert
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Oct 09 at
5:06 am.
