On 27 Sep 09 Dwight Ullman, age 49, 113 Santee
Drive, Marietta, report at some point during the past day an
unknown suspect stole a drill, electrical wiring and five switchboxes
from a home he is constructing at 219 Ash Road, Marietta. Including
the cost to repair the damage caused by the theft, Mr. Ullman
estimates his total loss at $1,500. This case remains under
investigation (790).
On 27 Sep 09 Lt. Canavan and Deputy Sheriff
Carr responded to an incident involving Sonya Coe, age 46,
and Julie Coe, age 50, at their residence at 1110 Moody Ridge
Road, Vincent. Highly intoxicated and accusing the other party
of being the aggressor during the fracas that occurred over
a span of three hours, both women exhibited injuries caused
by the woman. Sonya said she also suffered minor injuries when
a truck driven by her boyfriend, Kelly P. Sargent, age 47,
816 W. Main Street, Van Wert, OH, dragged her down the roadway
driveway. Sonya stated she reached through the driver side
window of Mr. Sargent’s truck to retrieve her purse when
he accelerated away from her residence. Suffering scrapes to
her toes, Sonya said she fell from the truck and crawled to
the home of a nearby relative. As a result of their investigation,
Deputy Carr requested summonses for Sonya and Julie Coe for
disorderly conduct and for Mr. Sargent for assault.
On 27 Sep 09 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Jamie W. Soncrant, age 27, 428 Durant Drive,
Fayetteville, NC, for traveling 82 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy
Smeeks stopped Mr. Soncrant near milepost fourteen on Interstate
77 in Salem Township.
On 27 Sep 09 Detective Rhodes arrested Stephen
E. Moss, age 33, 1874 State Route 550, Cutler, for OVI and
for driving outside the marked lanes of travel. Stopped for
having an inoperable license plate light and for traveling
almost completely off the right side of State Route 550 near
milepost nine, Mr. Moss had an odor of alcohol. Though Mr.
Moss stated he only consumed half of a beer that evening he
performed poorly on field sobriety tests. When transported
to the Washington County Jail Mr. Moss tested .132 BAC.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Austin Paul Pulver, age 19, 412 Walnut Street, Belpre, for
criminal damaging, a misdemeanor. Pulver was arrested on Walnut
Street by Patrolman Augenstein of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 09
at 1:12 am.
Stephen Emerson Moss, age 33, 1874 State Route 550, Cutler,
for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Moss was arrested on State Route 339 in
Barlow by Detective Rhodes of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27
Sep 09 at 3:44 am.
Brian David Hopkins, age 40, 23372 Cincinnati Ridge Road,
Belpre, for OVI, for operating a vehicle with an expired license,
for operating a vehicle with expired license plates and for
failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Hopkins was arrested in
Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 09 at 4:34 am.
Thomas Gene Robison II, age 19, 5703 Dover Road Apt. A, Apple
Creek, OH, for aggravated robbery, a felony. Robison was arrested
on Greene Street by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
27 Sep 09 at 10:05 am.
Michael Shawn Williams, age 33, 3995 Pleasant Ridge Road,
Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Williams was
arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 09 at 10:55 am.
Terry Anthony Waterman, age 37, 6939 State Route 821, Whipple,
for felonious assault and for a felony charge of abduction.
Waterman was arrested in Whipple by Deputy Sheriff Simmons
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 09
at 12:45 pm.
Roland D. Handschumacher, age 50, 726 ½ Second Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Handschumacher was arrested on Fifth Street by Patrolman McCracken
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 27 Sep 09 at 8:21 pm.
John Patrick Shilling, age 28, 456 Forest Street, Columbus,
for making a false statement, a misdemeanor. Shilling was arrested
at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman McCracken of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Sep 09 at 9:08 pm.
