On 16 Sep 09 Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested
a summons for Ronald M. Salazar, age 18, for theft. Mr. Salazar
allegedly stole a DVD/VCR from a vehicle parked on Maple Street
on 14 Jul 09. Though Salazar denied taking the item, witnesses
to the incident stated Mr. Salazar offered to sell them the
stolen electronic device.
On 16 Sep 09 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Charles L. Hunt Jr., age 40, 407 Morgan Avenue,
Saint Marys, for traveling 75 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy
Mankins stopped Mr. Hunt on State Route 7 near Willow Island
in Newport Township.
On 16 Sep 09 Deputy Sheriff Mankins requested
summonses for two twelve year old Vincent residents to appear
in Juvenile Court on charges of delinquency by breaking and
entering, criminal trespassing, theft, vandalism and criminal
damaging. Deputy Mankins’ affidavit alleges the juveniles
broke into Barlow Elementary School in August and discharged
fire extinguishers. In addition, the juveniles admitted damaging
the inside of the press box at Warren High School and entering
the concession stand and stealing candy and soft drinks.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
David Scott Armstrong, age 19, 55 Kitts Drive,
Waterford, for theft, a misdemeanor. Armstrong turned himself
in to Lt. Canavan at the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on
16 Sep 09 at 9:30 am.
Justin Ryan Schroeder, age 27, 6235 Fifteenmile Creek Road,
Wingett Run, for felony charges of possession of drugs and
trafficking in a counterfeit controlled substance and for a
misdemeanor charge of failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines. Schroeder turned himself in to Lt.
Canavan at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
was processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Sep 09
at 12:41 pm.
Louis Roe Cavillis, age 38, 405 Elm Street, Belpre, for contempt
of a court order, a misdemeanor. Cavillis was arrested on Maple
Street by Patrolman Stump of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Sep 09
at 2:33 pm.
Christopher Paul Cook, age 19, 121 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Cook
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Ferrell and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Sep 09 at 2:45
pm.
Richard Lester Baker, age 46, 31760 Lasher Road, Rutland,
OH, for telephone harassment, a misdemeanor. Baker was picked
up in Athens by Corrections Officer Brockmeier and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 16 Sep 09 at 5:00 pm.
