On 10 Sep 09 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio requested
a summons for a thirteen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by theft. Earlier
in the afternoon a resident on Woodland Acres Road in Marietta
reported a Harley Davidson bicycle was stolen from her yard
and that the bike was later found on County House Lane. The
complainant said her teenage son does not get along with another
teenager that lives on County House Lane and believes he took
the bike. When questioned, the juvenile suspect initially denied
taking the bike but later admitted stealing the bike, saying “Yeah
I stole the bike. I stole it because I don’t like the
kid who lives there.”
On 10 Sep 09 a thirty-six year old Williamstown
resident reported her fourteen year old daughter attended a
party at 16120 State Route 821, Macksburg on 5 Sep and during
the party her daughter consumed alcohol, smoked marijuana and
had sex with a sixteen year old. The teenager said a relative
she identified as Stephan R. Evans, age 20, picked her and
her friend up from the fair and drove to his residence at the
aforementioned address. Once at the home the teenager state
Mr. Evans supplied marijuana and provided Jaegermeister to
the juveniles, including his twelve year old sister. Based
on the juvenile’s statements, Deputy Sheriff Sheaves
requested a summons for the fourteen year old to appear in
Juvenile Court for being unruly and for delinquency by underage
consumption of alcohol. Deputy Sheaves also requested a summons
for Mr. Evans for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
On 10 Sep 09 Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck issued
a citation to Justin J. Ward, age 25, 1317 Cisler Drive, Marietta,
for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Hornbeck stopped
Mr. Ward on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner Road in Belpre Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Richard Glenn Newman II, age 43, 200 Pennock
Drive Lot 21, Beverly, for violating the terms of his probation,
a felony. Newman was arrested on Third Street in Beverly by
Patrolman Sams of the Beverly Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 10 Sep 09 at 2:33 am.
Logan Garrett Abbott, age 20, 231 Spring Street,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, failure to
control, breach of recognizance, underage possession of alcohol
and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Abbott was
arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 10 Sep 09 at 9:39 am.
Chester Bryan Wilson, age 51, 119 Schilling Street, Marietta,
for burglary, a felony. Wilson was arrested on Pennsylvania
Avenue by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Sep 09
at 11:07 pm.
