On 3 Sep 09 Sgt. Johnson and Deputy Sheriff
McLeish responded to the scene of death of a thirty-two year
old Newport resident. Finding no evidence of foul play, the
Deputies determined the victim hanged himself following an
argument with his wife.
On 3 Sep 09 Michael J. Green, age 36, 205
Custer Road, Stockport, was life-flighted to Grant Medical
Center in Columbus following a tractor rollover. The accident
occurred as Mr. Green pulled a mower deck with his tractor
approximately 200 yards off the roadway between Custer and
Creek roads. The full extent of Mr. Green’s injuries
is unknown but possibly includes internal injuries and broken
bones (610)
On 3 Sep 09 an employee of AEP reported at
some point during the past two days an unknown suspect(s) crawled
under a fence at an electrical tower site at 2136 Braun Road,
Belpre and cut the ground wires attached to the tower. The
suspect(s) stole approximately twenty-five feet of copper wire
from the site. This case remains under investigation (610).
On 3 Sep 09 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart requested
summonses for John R. Bonnette, age 26, 10021 State Route 550,
Vincent, for telecommunications harassment and menacing. The
forty-three year old victim in this case reported he has been
having problems with Mr. Bonnette and was riding four wheelers
when Mr. Bonnette approached him. The victim said Mr. Bonnette
drew his fist back in a threatening manner and stated he was
going to punch him in the face and beat his [butt]. Once the
victim returned home Mr. Bonnette continued his harassing behavior,
sending threatening text messages and leaving numerous voicemail
messages. Arrested on an unrelated charge, Mr. Bonnette was
highly intoxicated and uncooperative.

Office received the following warrants:
Jason E. Wolfe, age 36, 233 Hillcrest Drive
Apt. A, Marietta, for failing to appear in court on 24 Aug
09.
Jonathan Dexter, age 30, 11 Harper Street, The Plains, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to
show cause on 21 Aug 09.
Jonna L. Gabbard, age 40, 1112 Goodman Avenue, Cincinnati,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order
to show cause on 24 Aug 09.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Earnest Keith Bartram, age 63, 3434 Frazier
Avenue, Fort Worth, TX, for operating a vehicle without a license
and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Bartram was arrested on
State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 09 at 12:41 am.
Ira David Blair Sr., age 56, Rainbow Road,
Lowell, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Blair
was arrested in Juvenile Court by Deputy Sheriff Underwood
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 09 at
11:05 am.
Daniel Edward Hendrickson, age 55, 775 Gravel Bank Road, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Hendrickson
was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman McClelland of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 3 Sep 09 at 2:30 pm.
John Russell Bonnette, age 26, 10021 State Route 550, Vincent,
for discharging a firearm at an occupied residence, a felony.
Bonnette was arrested at his residence by Lt. Wilson of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 Sep 09 at 10:41 pm.
