On 30 Aug 09 Randal Elliot, age 44, 1216 Williamson Avenue Lot 44, New Matamoras, reported while he was away from his residence he believes an acquaintance he allowed to stay in the home stole a Marlboro duffel bag containing jeans, underwear, t-shirts and shaving supplies. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 30 Aug 09 Amber L. Richards, age 28, 1445 State Route 550, Bartlett, was life-flighted to Ohio State Medical Center for a treatment to a facial injury. Mrs. Richards was standing on her driveway watching her husband cut brush with a brush hog when he struck a hidden stump with the implement. A piece of wood flew out from underneath the cutter and struck Mrs. Richards in the middle of the forehead. Mrs. Richards is listed in fair condition.

On 30 Aug 09 Jolisa N. Jett, age 24, 312 Third Street, Lowell, reported when she and her husband returned home from a wedding they noticed an unknown suspect(s) spray painted “narc” on the side of her husband’s motorcycle. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 30 Aug 09 Thomas M. Spencer, age 51, 19897 State Route 511, Wellington, OH, reported sometime since he last mowed on 11 Jul, an unknown suspect(s) stole a Husqvarna 46” riding lawnmower from an unlocked barn on his deceased father’s property at 3290 Wingett Run Road, Wingett Run. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 30 Aug 09 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested summonses for a sixteen and a seventeen year old New Matamoras residents to appear in Juvenile Court for being delinquent. The two brothers allegedly assaulted a relative at the relative’s residence that afternoon.

On 30 Aug 09 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to Brandon J. Loveland, age 18, 5039 Aravesta Avenue Apt. 3, Boardman, OH, for traveling 77 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Loveland near milepost one on State Route 7 in Belpre Township.

On 30 Aug 09 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to Andrea N. Shepard, age 19, 1823 Pleasant Valley Road, Fairmont, WV, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Smeeks stopped Ms. Shepard on State Route 7 near State Route 124 in Belpre Township.

On 30 Aug 09 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a citation to Cheyenne L. Mantz, age 29, 3045 Bells Run Road, Newport, for driving under a license suspended for having unpaid child support. Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Mantz on State Route 7 near Lockhart Street in Belpre Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Tytus Lamarr Shields, age 21, 729 Front Street, Marietta, for obstructing official business and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Shields was arrested on Greene Street by Patrolman Thomas of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 09 at 1:26 am.

David Andrew Stewart, age 23, 877 Wolfe Run Road, Rockport, WV, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Stewart was arrested on Virginia Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 09 at 5:10 am.

Robert Wayne Ellison, age 29, 101 Gibbons Lane Apt. D, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Ellison was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Fields of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 09 at 9:15 am.
