On 24 Aug 09 Deputy Sheriff Sheaves issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Christian McCarty, age 18, 125 Hickory Street, Lower Salem, for possession of marijuana. A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on Fox Haven Drive, Mr. McCarty produced a small bag of marijuana when he was asked if he was in possession of any contraband.

On 24 Aug 09 Corrections Officer Farrell charged Mario R. Johnson, age 30, 8551 Mark Twain Street, Detroit, MI, with assault. The previous evening Mr. Johnson was involved in an altercation with a co-defendant in a drug case, Derrill King, age 19, 9383 Dixie Road, Redford, MI. Intoxicated on prison hooch hidden from jail authorities, Mr. King reportedly swung his fist at Mr. Johnson while the two were in a bathroom. King missed and Johnson retaliated, punching him twice in the face and causing King to strike his forehead on a sink as he fell to the floor. King was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital and released after receiving treatment.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

John Eugene Anderson, age 28, 108 Dawes Circle Apt. 108, Marietta, for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor. Anderson was arrested on Oakwood Avenue by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 09 at 12:01 am.

Patricia Ann Bonar, age 32, 735 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Bonar was arrested at her residence by Probation Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 09 at 11:50 am.

Hoyt Tillman Adkins Sr., age 70, 200 Martin Road, Reno, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Adkins was arrested at his residence by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 09 at 5:54 pm.
